  • Based in Dorset in the UK, Monkey World is the largest monkey and ape rescue centre on the planet. For nearly three decades, the team has saved countless primates - across 20 countries - from lives of cruelty, abuse, and neglect. This safe haven is now home to more than 200 monkeys and apes. The dedicated staff never stop in their quest to save animals from being mistreated by owners, ending up in laboratories or being exploited in the entertainment industry.
The bachelor boys are up to their usual hooligan tricks, and there is concern when chimp Joline is struck down by a mystery illness. Elsewhere, stump-tailed macaque Koko is introduced to the great outdoors after 20 years in a pet-shop cage, and baby woolly monkey, Julio is coming on in leaps and bounds as he’s introduced to his woolly monkey family.

I am also besotted with the Monkey World series. they are as old as dusty dinosaurs but I don't care, I want to see each and every Episode from each and every season! I think there are 17 seasons if i recall correctly! Happy, happy me!! I was so very sad when Jim passed away. My heart went out to dear, dear Allison and everyone that knew and loved Jim Cronin. He was a very special man and the world is not as bright and beautiful without him here.

It never fails when you have wonderful videos like this, some people can only criticize this type of hard work and passion for wildlife. Their expectations and such brilliant ideas, yet they always expect someone else to instead save the starving children of the world. This is a rescue, which is stated in the description. If you feel that strongly about the children who are starving, then get up off your a$$ and do something about it, instead of shoving that BigMac in your mouth while criticizing people who rescue and care for these primates. Then while you're busy saving starving children, other people who are concerned about the importance of our planet and it's ecosystems that us humans rely on, they will be busy working hard to protect that . Within and outside forested areas, primates are that important key role , that's just one of the great reasons for their existence and protection . As humans it's a moral obligation to protect wildlife and our planet. Without primates , what kind of planet would we have.

One of the Saints who wrote some of the gospels put it quite succinctly when he said that the hands are not the head, the feet are not the arms, the legs are not the ears but all are one body, each performing a function which the others cannot, working in unison to accomplish the proper outcome for the whole body. Some people are best equipped to work with others on rescuing humans in need. Others are best equipped for rescuing and caring for animals in need. Work faithfully with the gifts that the Good Lord blessed YOU with and all will work out for the best! 🌹🐺🐾💞

often there isn't a specific reason. many monkey mothers simply dont have the instinct to mother or never learrned it. some times they'll reject one baby but rear many others. its a very interesting situation. thankfully there are plenty of scientists and employees there who can hand rear them when absolutely crucial. ive seen many macaque moms in particular abandon babes and then raise others.. i just dont understand

She should have learned to be a mother, from her mother, but most of them never got that experience so they don’t know how to mother, same with human women, not all women are met to be moms, and a lot of us learned to be moms from our moms, and some came naturally.

If they read this it may help them with fungal or bacterial infections. There’s a company named Davis in the United States and their ear cleaner or their fungal bacterial ear cleaner works wonderful on all kinds of fungal and bacterial infections to stop it. I have seen it clear up fungal/bacterial infections on dogs and cats in 3 to 5 days. It doesn’t burn and all you do is spray it on or missed it on with a Spray bottle. I’m sure they would ship their ear cleaner to the UK.

The fact that the same one has rejected her offspring twice should literally have her removed from any kind of breeding program. It they are really wanting them to simulate their wild lives then they should leave the baby with its mother.....the baby literally didnt know how to feed because they put it in a bottle instead of a nipple.

Ummm...this is not a pet store, it is a Rescue, Rehab and Sanctuary for animals that cannot be returned to the wild. The animals at Monkey World UK are not "pets". @ the 0:40 mark in this video is an aerial view of the Monkey World complex taken from above with a camera drone.

All primates are not considered endangered. Just 3 of there 25 types are. There are almost 30 sub species of macaques on 3 different contents and a few are endangered. I don't know why I'm trying to explain this to you? Anyone who calls a rescue or a zoo a pet store can't be very bright.
