- Hey y'all welcome to the Sweet Chariot Travel channel. My name is Chinetha and I am a solo traveler. In this video, I'll be going over some things you should know before visiting Ecuador. I was able to visit Quito and Cuenca during my trip. This video is based on my experience in those two cities. I really enjoyed my visit to Ecuador and I can't wait to go back to explore more cities. I hope this video gives guidance when planning your trip to Ecuador. If you enjoyed it, don't forget to like, share and subscribe. Thank you for watching!

Hi. I'm also a natural hair queen. 😊
How did your hair hold up in Ecuador?
Did you have to use your own hair products or did you find any in Ecuador?
I wear wash n goes, but can't lug around my huge tubs of gel when I start traveling, unfortunately.
Hey 👋🏾 Quito and Cuenca is not humid so my hair didn't revert back when wearing a twist outs. The biggest thing to watch out for is sunburn on your scalp. Many locals adviced me to wear a hat since the sun is so intense. I have three products I travel with a conditioning grease, leave in conditioner and a small gel for my edges. It very common to find gel for a wash n go in Ecuador however it may be for men's hair.
@@sweetchariot ok. I gotta buy a few cute hats. Thanks. ☺️
Hi. Did you go to Cotopaxi? If so, what was your experience like and how did you get there?
Hey yes I went to the Cotopaxi Volcano. I'm glad that I went since it's very popular. I didn't really know how popular it was at the time. The scenery was beautiful and it was a great experience. It does get very cold the higher we climbed. I booked my tour on Airbnb experience, and the host name is Jorge. He offers a horseback riding experience along with hiking. I made a video about my experience, and I give out more information in the video. Here's the link, I hope it helps 😊

@@MegaWolfgangAmadeus 😊 Thank you!
I’m flying into Guayaquil…do u think I should just stay there?
Hello, I've never been to Guayaquil and left Ecuador in 2022. It's best to join Facebook groups for Guayaquil. That'll allow you to stay aware of current events from other tourist or expats.
@@sweetchariot thank u
Did you consider Galapagos?
I really wish I had gone to the Galapagos Islands. It wasn't a part of my original plans, so I didn't go. I definitely have to go there the next time I visit South America. It looks beautiful and most people seem to have great experiences.
@@sweetchariot I am considering going to Quito this month (last minute plans) and wanted to do a day trip to Cotopaxi or go to Cuenca, but also was considering Galapagos but the logistics become really complicated the more I look into it. Most of the research I have done on it I see people plan it months in advance. I'm torn lol
@@CC-br9qg I hope you can make it to Galapagos. It looks like a gem! I personally regret not going. I didn’t know about the island until a little later in my trip. Mindo Valley is another popular day trip from Quito. If you choose to go to Cuenca, you can visit the Cajas National Park to hike. It just depends on what stands out to you the most. Ecuador is very diverse.
