But you can literally do those things on a $50 tablet. Considering that, it's a waste of money. Unless you have brand loyalty, or you just really need that apple logo on your products. I just bought a fire tablet for my girl for $39 and It does everything that ipad does.

The iPad’s performance and App Store selection is just so far ahead of what amazon offers at that price point it’s not even a fair comparison. Now, the similar priced amazon tablet would be more of a fair match. But I would still generally say the iPad 9th gen is a better value than the similarly priced amazon tablet for the reasons mentioned in this video. The devices ages better, Apple build quality, the App Store is better, I could on.

I still use an iPad Air first generation in the Kitchen (tethered because of the dying battery) and it’s a fantastic device that works fine overtime. I’ll definitely get this 9th iteration of the ipad for the battery and extra power. You can’t get wrong when you are investing into an ipad. Along with the Apple Watch, the ipad is the best apple device regarding longevity and services .
Me too and I love my Air 1st Gen. It just became obsolete recently as it no longer accepts updates :( I love the screen and even though I can’t access apps any longer… I still use it for the internet so I will keep it until it dies. Too bad the airs are a lot more $$$ because I love how light they are and the screen is excellent

Just got this as a gift. I already have iPhone and Mac, so I wasn't really considering buying iPad... but this one for its price is surprisingly good. It runs flawlessly the latest iPadOS, all apps run just fine, screen is good for all of the daily tasks. Gotta buy the pencil now cause I think that's where the power of tabs lies. A lot of apps for work, reading and study benefit from having pencil and making notes, journaling or sketching. The only thing that makes it obvious it's last gen device are its physical characteristics - button, side bezels and screen are definitely generation(s) behind. Still it's more than enough for everything you can imagine to do with iPad in daily life.
If you option it silver, it would be a pretty unique option. When it comes to all other iPad models with the slim design, it would have a white bezel if optioned in silver, but this one has a black bezel even when optioned in silver.
I have purchased it used for 9 months and I am selling it now to buy android ,, I can't really see it as useful due to its aspect ratio in video viewing and inability to install modded application even single MX player cant be run without ads ... I left gaming and I realised it has only the selling point of processor power which is usually used in gaming ,, and I know most people don't use this for editing we have pc or laptops for that. If you are android user you will be bored in just one month .

I bought one of these two years ago. Loved it. I then bought a iPad Air 5 because of the USB-C and the M1 chip and sold my iPad 9 for $200. I regret that decision. This iPad was great and a good value. The iPAdOS is so locked down that serious work isn't really possible on most iPad Air or Pro except for drawing. It's best left to the Mac. That being said I should have stuck with the base iPad because all most people do with it is consume.
I agree with you 100 percent. On my basic iPad 9th generation while, working at home during Covid-19, I was able to check and reply to office E-mails, work on Excel files, and join meetings using Microsoft Teams (smile...smile).
Oh so right my brother. I had one in my Amazon saved wish list for months. A week before black Friday, I saw it @ $229 and nailed one. I upgraded from a 5th Gen iPad that was getting waaaay long in the tooth, slow and no more OS updates. Easy decision, and it's a fantastic tablet. Darn near as fast as my iPhone 15 Pro Max, no kidding. Super happy I got one when I did, as they're no longer on Amazon for this price as of today 11/27/23. I agree with you that the iPad can be great value for money based on their longevity. My mate is on his 2nd Samsung Android tablet and I have always been impressed with the OLED display but I see him regularly tapping the screen numerous times because the tablet doesn’t respond sometimes, unlike the consistent performance of even the cheapest iPad.
My iPads never stop working and, I have owned the following three (3) models the basic iPad 4th generation, 6th generation, and currently the 9th generation. Just be be safe have always gotten Apple Care but, I have never needed to use it (smile...smile).

Bought this one 64 Gbs and it works perfect for home use, kids games, some movie when on the road, books etc. I use big iCloud storage so I don't need big memory in iPad. After one year I have never had any issue with low memory. 64 Gb and good Cloud storage is good combo.
Back when Apple, Inc. introduced their new basic iPad 10th generation along with its new design. I rushed home and ordered on Apple's Veteran web site (for a 10 percent discount) their older top of the line basic iPad 9th generation version with 256GB and the cell data option. Afterward, I added a Logitech Combo keyboard and case and everything has been working great. In addition, to still having a physical "home button" and "headphone jack" this classic iPad model supports Apple's "Center Stage" function which, is a useful during video "Zoom" and "Teams" sessions (smile...smile).
I keep an iPad until the latest OS doesn't support it. I have had the 9th Gen since 2021 and use it mainly to read kindle books, my local newspaper, and magazines via the Zinio app. It's good for a quick search when needed. My old gen 1 pencil didn't work with it - got it replaced for free under the ipad's applecare (but I still have little need to use the pencil). 64gb has been fine so far.
I am not Apple fan. But when I tried iPad 9 for the first time I realised that this is the ultimate device for study, work and RUclips. Also I really like Touch ID. Another point is that iPad 9 looks sexy😮. I am not joking. The design of IPad 9 is great. It is not luxurious looking like ipad2 but still great especially comparing to honor tablets😅
Got one for $200 cash brand new and sealed 2 weeks ago! For the price it blows everything else away. Was gonna get the 10 but I’ll wait for the 11 or 12. Until then I absolutely love my iPad 9. It may have an outdated design but it packs a mighty punch!

Got one at $249 to use as a “kitchen iPad” and put in a waterproof case for recipes and cooking videos on RUclips so we could stop getting our phones covered in oil and flour. We have over 128 safari tabs open and it runs smooth.
I bought this for my 2 year old daughter last month who needs an iPad as she is non verbal and it’s her AAC device. She loves it and figured it out in a few days how to use it. And I mean there isn’t anything she can’t do or hasn’t figured out on this iPad. She had an Amazon fire kids for mainly watching videos in the car and I hated the thing and she was not able to operate it like she can the iPad. That thing was so slow and lagged terribly. The only thing I’ll miss is how durable it was. But I put an otterbox on her iPad and bought Apple care just in case.
I have the iPad 9, a Kindle Fire, and a Kindle reader. And I like them for different things. I love to read, and I'm honestly not going to do that on an iPad. My Kindle reader is perfect for that purpose.

I bought my 9th Gen 256GB iPad with Folio keyboard and Pen, a couple of years ago. It’s a great product for what it is, but I already barely use it anymore…maybe I just needed an iPad a lot less that I thought I did? I also stopped using my Mac a few years ago, don’t use any PC or laptop anymore for that matter. And I’ve stopped wearing and using my Apple Watch too recently. The constant messaging, health tracking, need to charge daily (not convenient on a watch) etc…I just got fed up with it all, and after using it constantly for a number of years…it’s an ancient 2nd Gen version! Gone back to G-Shocks and mechanical watches now. But I use my iPhone 15 Pro Max a lot! So there’s that anyway…you don’t really need anything else. Maybe it’s an age thing? 🤷♂️
Have the same basic iPad model as yourself and use mine daily. But, I have never owned an Apple phone. The truth is nobody really needs all three (3) devices an iPhone, an iPad, and a Apple laptop computer. As for myself, I just have an Apple desktop computer and a basic iPad 9th generation with a Logitech Combo touch keyboard case (smile...smile).

I bought the 9th generation on black Friday 2023 for $249.00 . I am a die-hard android user, but this iPad is on another level. The processing power and graphics blow my Samsung S6-lite out of the water, and both tablets are similarly priced.
I got one for my mom last year. The center stage front camera is amazing for FaceTime. The non-laminated screen is alright at this price. My cons are the speakers only come from one side of the ipad but almost everyone owns Bluetooth earbuds nowadays. And only having 3gb ram might make this ipad laggy in the future iPadOS software updates.
This is all true. Best value in computing, by far! Super snappy and does everything most people need. You can buy any Bluetooth keyboard to it (you don’t need Apple’s overpriced one, or can buy a used keyboard) and you have a super cheap, incredible home computer that handles all the tasks any normal person needs.
Have owned mine for two (2) years and, I added the Logitech Combo keyboard and case. While, still not a full computer it was a life saver when working at home during Covid-19 (smile...smile).
I just got my iPad 9th gen today and I absolutely love it, it’s so quick but I think it’s because I upgraded from an iPad Air 2, I got mine for $297 Australian dollars which is a bargain for how good this iPad is 🙂

Just got one today from Walmart ($249). Watched this review video before I unboxed it as I knew nothing about it other than my wife mentioning yesterday, after she got home from shopping there, that she saw an iPad for $249 and said she’d like to get it for me for a Christmas present as my old iPad Mini has some cracks in the display glass and can only run I think iOS 11. I’m thrilled to hear so many positive comments from this video. So, now going to release from its packaging and start the fun. So glad the review didn’t say it was total junk , or I’d have had to go return it before even opening. Will try and follow up with thoughts in a few days/weeks to give my opinion. But, pretty confident now that I’m going to love it.

Just picked one up for myself as a Christmas gift. Got it for 230 bucks from Best Buy and I like it a lot. I was debating buying the iPad 10 but I honestly don’t need the latest greatest iPad. I just use it for streaming content on the go and web browsing etc. So spending 500-1500 for an iPad wasn’t a smart decision for me.

I bought my 9th Gen 256GB iPad with Folio keyboard and Pen, a couple of years ago. It’s a great product for what it is, but I already barely use it anymore…maybe I just needed an iPad a lot less that I thought I did? I also stopped using my Mac a few years ago, don’t use any PC or laptop anymore for that matter. And I’ve stopped wearing and using my Apple Watch too recently. The constant messaging, health tracking, need to charge daily (not convenient on a watch) etc…I just got fed up with it all, and after using it constantly for a number of years…it’s an ancient 2nd Gen version! Gone back to G-Shocks and mechanical watches now. But I use my iPhone 15 Pro Max a lot! So there’s that anyway…you don’t really need anything else. Maybe it’s an age thing? 🤷♂️
Have the same basic iPad model as yourself and use mine daily. But, I have never owned an Apple phone. The truth is nobody really needs all three (3) devices an iPhone, an iPad, and a Apple laptop computer. As for myself, I just have an Apple desktop computer and a basic iPad 9th generation with a Logitech Combo touch keyboard case (smile...smile).
@@transitengineerI would be happy with iPad Mini as my main consumption device. But it is expensive to me while iPad 9 for $250 is affordable. I prefer Mini form factor because it sits comfortably in my palm while ipad 9 is not comfortable to hold and lay beside on chair, bed etc.
The idea of having to charge the watch kills the apple watch for me

While, I have been an Apple desktop home computer user since 1996, I never however plan to own an iPhone. So, Apple, Inc. lost my sale (smile...smile).

I bought the 9th generation on black Friday 2023 for $249.00 . I am a die-hard android user, but this iPad is on another level. The processing power and graphics blow my Samsung S6-lite out of the water, and both tablets are similarly priced.

I got one for my mom last year. The center stage front camera is amazing for FaceTime. The non-laminated screen is alright at this price. My cons are the speakers only come from one side of the ipad but almost everyone owns Bluetooth earbuds nowadays. And only having 3gb ram might make this ipad laggy in the future iPadOS software updates.
64 gigs is more than enough for me. I could survive on 32 gigs on my old iPad 7. Plus the A13 bionic is a big upgrade over the A10 fusion
I was still using a 16gb iPad mini 2 with an A7 chip from 2014, I just replaced it with the iPad 9.

This is all true. Best value in computing, by far! Super snappy and does everything most people need. You can buy any Bluetooth keyboard to it (you don’t need Apple’s overpriced one, or can buy a used keyboard) and you have a super cheap, incredible home computer that handles all the tasks any normal person needs.
Have owned mine for two (2) years and, I added the Logitech Combo keyboard and case. While, still not a full computer it was a life saver when working at home during Covid-19 (smile...smile).
I just got my iPad 9th gen today and I absolutely love it, it’s so quick but I think it’s because I upgraded from an iPad Air 2, I got mine for $297 Australian dollars which is a bargain for how good this iPad is 🙂

Naaah i just got a 9th gen but the thing crushes when i go beyond complex levels of brushes or to much detail on my layers. Thats if im using apps for digital art

Just got one today from Walmart ($249). Watched this review video before I unboxed it as I knew nothing about it other than my wife mentioning yesterday, after she got home from shopping there, that she saw an iPad for $249 and said she’d like to get it for me for a Christmas present as my old iPad Mini has some cracks in the display glass and can only run I think iOS 11.
I’m thrilled to hear so many positive comments from this video. So, now going to release from its packaging and start the fun. So glad the review didn’t say it was total junk , or I’d have had to go return it before even opening.
Will try and follow up with thoughts in a few days/weeks to give my opinion. But, pretty confident now that I’m going to love it.

Hey, I know I’m a little late but I’m stuck on what iPad I need. I need an iPad so I can do animations and editing. it is between the iPad 9 and iPad Air 5th gen. The iPad Air seems more like for animations but the 9th gen is cheaper. If anyone responds to this could you help me recommend?

The best ipad is a surface pro.
Just picked one up for myself as a Christmas gift. Got it for 230 bucks from Best Buy and I like it a lot. I was debating buying the iPad 10 but I honestly don’t need the latest greatest iPad. I just use it for streaming content on the go and web browsing etc. So spending 500-1500 for an iPad wasn’t a smart decision for me.
