This recipe is definitely getting made. I love focaccia, and finding new twists.

I just made this today what is 1&1/5 cups? I’m waiting for the second rise but I went with 10 ounces of water - we shall see 🤪

Paul Hollywood said in something I was watching that salt does indeed kill yeast. I view him as an expert with bread and I bet your Nona is too.

I see your nonnas point on not wanting the salt to kill the yeast (salt draws out moisture therefore killing cells) but because the salt is still added before the rising process (where yeast is still needed to do its job) i don't think it should make a difference - but I could be wrong hahaha

the focaccia is a bit dark & I prefer tomatoes over pepperoni or salami, but it looks delicious!

Focaccia done as very italian cooker. Really good but the oil shoul be the last ingredient to put in.

I was disappointed that there was no dimpling of the top and its not as crispy as real focaccia!
