Your stock studs appear to protrude well beyond the surface of the spacers, meaning your wheels are only contacting the tops of those 5 studs and not the spacer surface. The stock studs should be ground off to allow the mags to seat solidly against the spacers.
We recommend hun centric front & non on rear. Due to movements. Hub centrick has the support it sits on the hub. It won’t brake fall off. That’s why it’s used on da rear.
So I've got this whole deal going on with my car now. I'm worried if there's vibration my wheel will become loose and fly off while driving. Did your wheels do this with those spacers? Or is it still fine to this day?
Hi. I noticed you did this a couple of years ago. How did the wheels hold out? Did you have any issues “down the road (Pun intended)?” I’m going to be doing the same thing with my mustang.
The wheels held up fine. As long as you don’t beat the shit out of them they will last. (Obviously try to avoid big pot holes as they will mess any wheel up)
Hey bro! First off love wht u done to ur car! Honestly badass set up and ya know haters gonna hate! Lol but I need ur help, I own a 2013 Chevy sonic hatchback and kinda wanted to do the same look like ur car but hatchback status. Where did u get ur wheel spacers at? Been having trouble trying to find some for my car
Looks like your studs are sticking out of the spacer, which means your wheels are not flush with the spacer, that can be dangerous, your studs can break.
Andrue Rendon that makes no sense. If the bolts he is attaching his rims were too long or bolts too “short” he would be able to wobble the rims. I think you have it backwards bud.
You might want to trim your studs young man..i dont think they are suppose to be sticking through your spacers..they should be flush so your wheel mounts up properly..thats a sweet ride..i want you to stay around to safely enjoy it...lol👍
Nah, some aftermarket rims have an indentation so you don’t have to “trim” the bolts. Trimming or shaving the factory bolts is very sketchy and not to mention it will be a pain if you want to change the size of the spacer or even going back to stock.
You didn't mention WHY you wanted to put on spacers. I'm guessing just for a wider stance. As you may know, the hub assembly and bearings were designed with a certain wheel track. By putting on spacers you may be exposing those components to added wear and stress, unless of course you are using wheels with greater offsets to bring the centerline of the wheel assembly where it was designed to be. The other item I'd like to mention is those hub studs that the spacers were attached to, were sticking out beyond the face of the spacer. So I assume(hope) that the wheel had a recessed area between the wheel mounting studs to accept that bolt length. Or, of course, the wheels mounting surface would be against the end of the studs. Lastly, it is important when using that type of spacer, that you re-torque them after a recommended period of use. Oh ya...they do make spacers with centric lips.
First off I would like to thank you for sharing your knowledge as it could save someone’s ass that doesn’t know what they are getting into... I put the spacers on because the Chevy cruzes have a very weird bolt pattern of 5x105 and it is hard to find wheels in this size. The wheels I have are 5x100 and the spacers act as adapters as well. The wheels also have a hollow/recessed area and they sit flush on the hub (this is something I made sure if as I put them on). I have also re-torqued them every time I have taken them off and put them back on (I usually drive 30-50 miles and re-torque). I have also recently upgraded to hub centric spacers and they are way more confidence inspiring! Again, thank you for your concerns and I am very appreciative if you spreading your knowledge! Thanks, Jonas
Jonas Godwin Coincidently I was just made aware of the existence of adapter type spacers on my Challenger forum. The fellow was going from the challenger bolt pattern to a Mustang bolt pattern. Extremely close anyway. But in his case he had to make changes in bolt diameters because the typical Mustang bolts are smaller in diameter. Keep up the good work!
One thing to look into getting is lowering springs to get rid of a fair amount of that wheel gap. i have the same wheels on mine and i used B&G lowering springd to bring it down about 1.5 inches in the front and 1 in the rear
i have a chevy cruxe 2012 i put a intake i got a turbo soo it sounds nice i put a dual exhust on it and the abapters you got i put those on as well it loots really nice if i can show you ill give you my number and show you dude it looks relly nice i might tent my windshild
+Corey Jones mine fit with 1 in spacers, but I am pushing the limits. When I turn the tire comes really close to the fender liner. I also have 235/40/r18 instead of 235/45/r18. The wheels are also 30 offset if that helps. Just read around the forums and you might find answers to your question
Corey Jones depending on where you get your wheels from. You can get them redrilled. I have the same wheels on my Cruze, i was able to get them redrilled from the shop i bought them from
+chris merrinier I don't think anyone has done that to their cruze, you are probably in the dark on that one. But if you actually swap it, make sure to make a forum post about it.
Jonas Godwin I believe it would be easier for a Ls1 swap because it's from gm but I don't know how to go about it from the Cruze being a front wheel drive car
I have a fuck'n mini van! Also have 4 kids but that in no way is stopping me from making my van a bit better. About to get spacers much like these that are lug centric. Just wondering if you have had any issues as of yet with yours? Thanks!
I'm taking a shit while watching this.
Good.
Dan the Man2024 haha! I was too!
It’s coming out as I type this and I feel a slight bond
We are in this together.
Same asf

Oh dang. 🤣🤣
Good video. I've been searching all over for a video to explain the difference between hub and lug centric
We recommend hun centric front & non on rear. Due to movements. Hub centrick has the support it sits on the hub. It won’t brake fall off. That’s why it’s used on da rear.
Update on the spacers? Any vibration yet?
So I've got this whole deal going on with my car now. I'm worried if there's vibration my wheel will become loose and fly off while driving. Did your wheels do this with those spacers? Or is it still fine to this day?
Hey man just installed some and got vibrations too any updates
@@webwo5781 just buy the hubcentric ones and save your self the headache
Same exact car with same spacers drives great!
Jonas Godwin what's the size of those tires??
235/40/18
+Jonas Godwin I like what u did to ur car man sick! you should add a spoiler on dat still would look crazy!
Remember that pickle you made for bad santa?
Pepperidge farms remembers

Motorsport-tech.com makes custom spacers to whatever specs you need!
Jonas Godwin, appreciate it man!
Looks like your studs are sticking out of the spacer, which means your wheels are not flush with the spacer, that can be dangerous, your studs can break.
They do slightly stick out but my wheels have indentations in the back that gives more room for the studs, they sit flush too the hub
Most wheels have pocketed areas between the studs
Andrue Rendon that makes no sense. If the bolts he is attaching his rims were too long or bolts too “short” he would be able to wobble the rims. I think you have it backwards bud.
Hi brother , it work ?
Would adding wider adapters in the rear than the front ones of .25 inches be unsafe or throw off the handling?
Nice ride my brother! Any issue with the spacer ?
I have a 2014 Ford Fiesta titanium, it's a 5 speed and all I done is tinted the windows
+Roland Flores sweet!
Hey bro what status your wheel spacer non hub centric? Still no problem? Tnx
Do u think these spacers are safe? I’m think about get adapters that and not hub centric but there 15mms think not like that 1” one.
I would 100% get hub centric if you choose to get them. If installed correctly they are perfectly safe!
this helped me alot.. thanks. about the stickers.. who cares what people think. its your car dude.
+That Guy lol, thanks bud

Are they safe?
Need to go all out on spacers or they break it sucks

Where did you get those wheels?
My daily is a 2012 Chevy Cruze LT and uts funny seeing it "modded"
Hey I'm new to your channel, But what is your bolt pattern, I also have a 13 chevy cruze but its the LS.
+Jason Vit my wheels are 5x100 but the stock bolt pattern is 5x105
Jonas Godwin did you get a wobble bolt to change it?
+Jason Vit nope, just using 1in adapters
Jonas Godwin nice thanks!!
Hey did you struggle with the center bore mine is 1mm smaller is it supposed to be like that
One thing to look into getting is lowering springs to get rid of a fair amount of that wheel gap. i have the same wheels on mine and i used B&G lowering springd to bring it down about 1.5 inches in the front and 1 in the rear
I was planning on getting some sort of lowering device later this summer if I have the money for it. I think it would look nice!!!
What is the thickness of the spacers?
That it’s the width 1.5” or 2” 2.5” etc.
i have a chevy cruxe 2012 i put a intake i got a turbo soo it sounds nice i put a dual exhust on it and the abapters you got i put those on as well it loots really nice if i can show you ill give you my number and show you dude it looks relly nice i might tent my windshild
+Auuj that sounds so sick dude!
i just added you on sc ill send you pic if you accept it
im lowered but still running on stock steelies. im trying to figure out if the wheel would fit with the spacers

Got a 2011 Cruze and I'm trying to figure out how to 1j/Ls1 swap it. Got any ideas or forums to look at?

+chris merrinier I think you are right, but I have no idea how you would do it, maybe convert from front to rear wheel drive?
Jonas Godwin yeah I'd agree and btw the wheels look amazing
+chris merrinier I appreciate that!
I have put a filter on and put a 12 inch fat sub in my car soon going to get mud flaps
+Gavin Young sweet man
Heyy....
Will 5x105 to 5x100 fit stock rims?? Actually I already have ordered and spacers are on the way
They will not fit stock rims, it would have to be 5x105 to 5x105 to fit
i have those adapter too
Auuj how long have they lasted?
I have a fuck'n mini van! Also have 4 kids but that in no way is stopping me from making my van a bit better. About to get spacers much like these that are lug centric. Just wondering if you have had any issues as of yet with yours? Thanks!
No issues thus far, as long as they are hubcebtric you should be fine
Jonas Godwin awesome! Thanks again!
Bill Carini don’t get lugcentric.. keep you and your family safe man never cheap out on what holds your wheel to the car
Jeff Anderson the issue is that the vehicle I'm trying to put it on is very odd. It's a 6X139.7 bolt with a 92.5mm center bore.
How fast have you had your car up to with the spacers? Does it handle good?
You can go pretty fast, over 100 safely. And it handles pretty good for stock suspension
Dude throw those spaces out. I had a pair and it broke. Go get a set of Bora spacers their hub centric.
Had them on a vet and they broke
Get it wrapped
Ohhhhhh nooooo be careful with ebay spacers, cheap quality. they will break quick
I stopped watching after bro didn't grind off the studs. Nice rims have stud dents.
