If i want a pickup with a sound hot like JB of seymour duncan, but a sound agressive and active too, with coil split or coil tap option, this pickup do that? Thanks
Fishmans are good for agressive riffs, in one mode it is pretty like the Distortion pickup from Seymour Duncan, but not like the JB. My JB has less output, it is more suited for classic rock, and hard rock, but not the best for metal. They can be wired for coil split, but I went for the standard wiring
For the mkv, fishmans have more high end cut and sound better for rhythm. I suspect the blackouts might sound better on the rectifier.
Tian I remember the blackouts sounded a little muddy with the rectoverb, maybe their high output makes the sound some kind of thick in the bad sense
