Also have a 4720 been wanting to get a box blade was thinking 10ft but think you're right 8ft might be about perfect. Also agree they need adjustable 3point arms and a little more loader capacity been down the same road as you with having to take a few seed bags off a pallet to get her up. Had a case 55 would lift back end off the ground with fluid and box scraper on. Also plenty pto power. We run a 12ft grooming mower and 72ft 10in auger with ours no problem. The soft start pto is a real nice feature when you have inexperienced help. Only problem we have had is ac compressor blowing up with out knowing why.

I would not go bigger than 8 foot box . As the box fills you have too lift loader to keep weight on front tires. It would do 10 feet on 4 inch and under snows. Wet 4 inches it would struggle

If you ever trade it in you can now get self-leveling loader with a little more cap. You can also get bucket with cast iron chain loops. I would get it with air ride seat for those long trips.
The rear blade does it have mechanical side sift? If so you or a friend can convert it to hydraulic for curb clean out, Just a couple of crazy ideas.

New units have wheel spacers that can be ordered to help increase stability. Check with Deere you may be able to by them for your unit.
