The first house shown was my grandparents' house. My grandmother was an artist and a gardener, and my grandfather was an engineer and tinkerer. Between the two of them, the whole property was full of her art and his contraptions, and was a magical place to visit as a kid. My grandpa would take us grandkids on rides on a small train called the Terrific Pacific that went around a train track that he had built that went around the house and through my grandmother's garden. There was also an observatory in the backyard that my grandpa had built that contained a pretty large telescope he'd use to show us other planets' moons. The observatory also contained a little workshop where my grandpa would build his inventions and contraptions, which included a lot of physics toys and custom train set pieces he'd give to the grandkids as gifts. There was also a mini train set that went between the observatory and the workshop rafters (this guy loved trains) where the scenery was all painted by my grandmother. This kind of stuff where my grandpa had taken some engineering puzzle and my grandmother had added an artistic element was all over the house and was a perfect representation of how two very different people shared a very special and loving relationship with each other and with their family.
The place that I knew and loved growing up hadn't really existed in the way I'd known it for a couple years since my grandfather died and everything had been moved out, but its absolutely surreal to see the whole structure being destroyed live on camera. I hope whomever moved in there after my grandfather is safe.

I deliver mail near where this house is. I luckily only go up Valley Vista to Encino, and then i go back down the hill. My coworker whose route is above mine, many of his streets were evacuated around noon, and he was forced to leave back to the office or get trapped.
I was able to get to Encino, where everyone was packing up their cars and leaving. Crossed back over Valley Vista to the otherside and the first house a couple were trying to get to the door to warn her parents and get them out. They were old, and the gate was locked. So i jumped the gate and went and banged on the door. The elderly could inside had no clue it spread so much because the power was out and cell service was very weak. Got the gate open and told them all to get out.
Finished the street telling people I saw about the evacuation order. By the time i got to the end of my route, just at the base of the hill around Nancy Bush Park, the had already blocked access up the hill and were telling people in that neighborhood to leave.
When i was driving home taking the back way to Oxnard a bit after 2pm, i could see fire on the hillside facing the 101 freeway, several homes were on fire as it continued spreading West.

She needs a respirator! Protect your reporters, and christ, she shouldn't be that close because helicopters cannot drop when people are standing nearby.

Look to see if anything blue is still standing and you'll get your answer as to what's going on here, if not then someone set that.
