Not sure if you will see this as this video was posted a few years ago…This is great information. I am trying to figure out what should be said during the transition of “you may kiss the bride” and signing. What words should be spoken? “The couple is now going to sign”. I am stuck on how to verbally transition into doing that.
I like some of your ideas, I have only done 4 weddings, all for family (so not much of a business) I have not had any signings during the ceremony we have always done it right after and before the reception. I also have not ramped up the crowd mine have been more subdued I guess, I leave the crowd cheering for concert and the bachelor/bachelorett party's. Not to say it is bad or anything I just think I (personally) would come off phony. Thanks for the tips I like your site
I have a question! would we walk down the aisle and then come back to sign? or kiss and then head directly to the table? im a bit lost on what to do for my ceremony. Help!
Hey there Kaylie - thanks for watching and for your question! When the signing is featured in the ceremony, there’s a table with two chairs just off to the side of centre where the couple goes immediately after the pronouncement of the kiss. They sign the papers with witnesses if necessary while ideally a fun song plays, then come back to the centre while the officiant gives some brief closing remarks and gets everyone on their feet and presents the couple officially married for the very first time. It’s a blast and it’s the biggest possible way to end the ceremony with a bang! I go into this in more detail in my video “how to have a grand finale!“ :-)
@@unboringwedding Hi Mark, Thank you for making the videos and sharing your knowledge. My question is before the documents are signed, can the pronouncement include the words "By the virute of the power vested in me by the Marriage Act in Ontario"? Technically before the signing of the paperwork, the couple is not legally married yet, what is your take on this? Thank you.
Absolutely brilliant! Thank you so much for this clarification. My couples are going to benefit so much for a smoother flow to their ceremony. Your generous nature in helping me and improving the standards of the industry are commendable. Hats off to you Mark.

The concept of signing a document during a ceremony is strange. Not something I see here in the states.
how do I transition from the signing to the kiss? The couple wants to exchange rings, then sign, and then kiss. :/

So kiss, pronounce husband and wife *cue music*, sign, then begin the recessional. Or, kiss, sign, then pronounce?
Mark Allan Groleau Makes sense! Thank you for your tips!:)
