- NGO-HIONG or popularly known as Quekiam (Kikiam) is a traditional Asian-style sausage like appetizer that is mainly made of ground pork & root vegetables; then steamed to cook and fried for a crispy experience.
My take of a healthier QUE-KIAM version is baked but with the same crispy outcome.
INGREDIENTS -
500g ground pork
200g shredded carrots
200g diced jimaca or singkamas
3 cloves minced garlic
1 large diced white onion
1 egg
10pcs dried beancurd sheets
Seasoning -
3 tbsp sesame oil or combination of
2 tbsp regular sesame oil &
1 tbsp black sesame oil
3 to 5 tbsp wonder powder
3 tsp 5-spice powder or ngohiong hun
2 tsp iodized salt
pepper
Looks like baked is better than fried. I must try this. Thank you for sharing. ❤️ 😁
