After using a degreaser, I recommend Boeing T-9 oil. It leaves a wax coating behind to keep tools from rusting. CRC also makes a long lasting rust preventer that is recommended, I haven't tried it. I spray the T-9 on every new tool I buy as soon as I can.
I’m actually really impressed how well that cleaned up the rubber overmolds on the screwdrivers. I don’t know if I would have had the balls to put my snap on stuff in there 😂 but to know that I probably can. Keep us updated if the handles come apart 😬
You got a good deal. I think I would be looking at organizing the wrenches and sockets to see how close you are to having full sets. Even if you need to buy some individual sizes you should be in good shape.
Thanks for sharing. I bet you put in a lot of time and effort into your content. I use PB Blaster for both degreasing and light coating on my tools after every job.
The built-in heaters on these Chinese ultrasonic cleaners are useless, they can barely keep the temperature where it is. I recommend buying an immersion heater.
This is immensely satisfying to see the before and after as well as the drawer being cleaned and organized!

Perfect timing! I was just about to spray them with something else but I'll give that a try!
Tub O' Towels are really good for cleaning the rubber grips on those tools, they're cleaning wipes from Harbor Freight.

Can't wait to see the end result. Are you going to throw in some sockets into the cleaner as well?
Definitely will!
when it comes time to change out the cleaner, buy a couple of jugs of evap-o-rust, it works INSANELY well in ultrasonic cleaners.
I was thinking of that! Thanks so much! I'll definitely give it a try!
Thank you, sir I was just about to post that question!
If you don’t mind me asking how much did you give for your cleaner
Tub o towels work great for cleaning g tools, esp those comfort grip handles
wd40 all the metal bits to prevent corrosion and toss some silica packets in the backs of the drawers
Thanks!
Seems like a good deal just unorganized but everything looks like it’s there

Why wouldn’t you just put your tools in the simple green in a tub
It will do the same thing
