You can find silver if you use 2handed hammer like stagbreaker. If you attack the ground with it and you manage to hit silver under you, it will say 'Too Hard'
I use Ooze Bombs to avoid the crafting cost of the hammers. When looking for the silver in the mountain without wish bone: Make sure your at the height where Obsidian spawns. then look for a suspiciously flat area and toss an ooze bomb on the surface. You can find the "too hard" message below the surface.
Extremely entertaining. Especially the discovery of Plains just to immediately die to a skeeter. Way too relatable. Pondering this, you can make it to Mistlands, albeit without Plains level stuff since you can't get Moder tears for Artisanal table (blast furnace, windmill, linen spool). So if you can roam around in the mist and survive in silver level gear, then there's you answer. Speedrunners go for the queen pretty much naked with a spear or club, so anything is possible.
Exposed silver exists, Not very common, but easly noticable since exposed silver ore does not get covered by snow in the mountains, unlike any other rocks
@@Muskelhora They aren't fully exposed, just a piece of it, out of my experience about 1 in 3 mountain biomes has exposed silver, the mountain biome has to be big enough. My golden rule, if there's no Stone golems around, don't bother looking.
Step 1: Get the PickAxe. Step 2: Find Leviathan. Step 3: Get resources for the Abyssal Harpoon and Razor (iron-silver tier dagger). Step 4: Use them to get Fenris Hair from Mountain caves (use bonfires or mead to ignore cold). Step 5: Make Fenris set. Now you're relatively plains-ready.
^Death by deathsquito. A Valheim staple. When we were valheim noobs and didn't know anything we ran into a plains biome on our way to the Elder and were intrigued. Not for long though when the deathsquitos found us and chased us. We had to retreat and I even found some of our abandoned gravestones monthS later when we came back for revenge. Still one of my favorite Valheim moments so far.
I did something like this recently - started a fresh save with a friend new to the game and he didnt have much time to play so we didnt even kill elder and i didnt want to do it on my own to not give him stronger mobs and raids while he learns the game. The furthest i got was full Fenris Set, Silver age weapons and 2 Mistlands weapons: the Crossbow and the Krom 2h sword (i didnt think of using Seeker Soldiers to break the trees so i got the wood by breaking the gates of Dvergr bases - 2 wood per base, so i didnt get the spear because the wood cost seemed very out-of-reach) And i thought they patched the Chair exploit so i got Iron from Oozers, doors in Frost Caves, and mining the Swamp(hit the ground in sizeable areas above water with the Stagbreaker and looked for a 0 that wasnt a visible rock or log to find Iron) Lets just say that it took a while lol
The chair exploits still works, just have to mash to exit the chair. If you get off fast enough you'll still clip. A few times I wanted iron early for stone cutter I would to walk the edge of the swamps on the cliff side and hope for an exposed muddy scrap pile, lol.
Wasnt sure if it did or not, but i also wanted to avoid exploits if i could (got kinda curious how far can i go after noticing the occasional iron bar from the mountaincave's door and finding out iron exists on the surface through a lucky Abomination slam)
Silver is easy to find just smash around with a 2h any area above where obsidian deposit is found looking for "too hard" message. Typically it will be in a fairly flat area (probably dev choice to minimize some sticking out the side of the hills). Iron can be found the same with the hammer by searching for a "0" message (instead of too hard) where no stumps or trees exist. For this need to find areas of the swamp where the ground is raised up a few meters (probably to keep it from spawning underwater). Places where other biomes meet the swamp are best if it goes uphill you can run down the line and quickly mark several iron deposits.
you can do all but you need the tears from Moder to advance with the Artisan table, only then can you craft black metal stuff. Nice to see other people that are trying the same stuff im doing :)
Mine copper with troll, make bronze pickaxe. Glitch through sunken crypts with portals or chairs for iron. Run around mountains with two handed club looking for "too hard" message for silver. I've got no idea after that.
btw, you only need to be within 8m of a club troll for it to attack, so you don't need to get as close. it'll be easier to avoid if you keep that kind of distance
Dude, i found silver like 3 times by accident, just search for mainly flat areas in the mountain and dig. You can use Frost resistance mead to go up there and clear out some caves. Maybe you can work around the moder tear and get some Black cores in the Mistlands to get the higher Tier stuff.
not possible even if youre brave. MODER is sadly 100% required in order to access most stuff beyond silver gear. why? the black forge needs yggdrasil wood. only a blackmetal axe can break these trees. despite the fact that most black forge stuff needs refined either which requires sap which requires black metal to get in the first place. only exception are krom and skoll and hati and the carapace spear and the crossbow. these dont need eitr. but everything else does. so even if you could access the forge you would be limited to these 4 weapons. a seeker solider might be able to break these trees for you tough. worth a try. but the above limit applys without moder no matter what. everything else requires black metal to access.
@@MultiNerevar you can make seeker soldiers attack damage rusted swords, petrified bones and ygdrasill trees,so if you can find a soldier and trees on flat ground its ground attack should break them
The Black Forest Troll Miners & Lumberjack Union is upset. VERY upset! They feel like they have been exploited, and not received proper recognition for their hard work!
To be able to process black metal, linen, barley and the materials of Mistlands you will need Moder drop "Dragon Tear", so without defeating bosses you can only advance to the Silver Age
you CAN actually access 4 mistland weapons without killing moder. the dual wield one the spear the 2hand sword and the crossbow. this requires beeing brave and snagging 5 black cores from a mine tough. the wood is also painful to aquire without a black metal axe. but there is methods to break these trees without it. but thats it. you can only access these 4 weapons. but they are all endgame level dmg wise. best spear in the game.

Mistlands if you can use the dverger to your benefit you can have them kill the bugs for their drops and get geared up in there. Soft Tissue is hard to get, but not impossible.

That takes a lot of effort though. Some guy did a "no attack" challenge and it looked painful. Lol. A frost resist potion is procurable when the trolls mining copper for ya.
Well, i already made that challange and reached mistlands, black forge and made weapons from mistlands, the biggest issue is - so far there is no way to get refined black metal which prevents you from using magic, and you have limited food recieps
