Using the Inatek Wireless Presenter

Orientation to using the Inateck Wireless Presenter with CAMGA's projection equipment
This is a presentation of the Inatek Wireless Presenter that is packaged with the CAMGA video equipment. The Inatek Wireless Presenter is a smaller, lighter, and move versatile replacement for the dongle and control that we have been packaging with the CAMGA equipment. For the time being, we will package both with the equipment just in case there’s any question or concern. Eventually, however, we will replace these, with just the Inatek. When you get ready to use the Inatek, there are a couple of things that you must do. The first is to turn this slider switch from “Off” to “On.” It’s on the side of the presenter, and if you don’t turn it on, then it won’t work. The second thing I want you to do is to remove this USB dongle from the base of the presenter. Fix it so that the dongle is on the smooth side up, not the seamy side, but the smooth side, and slide it into your computer. Only when the dongle is inserted do you actually turn the computer on. When you’re presenting, there are three buttons on the top of the presenter that you’ll want to use. The lower button advances the slide. The upper button goes backward. Frankly, I think that’s counterintuitive. I think it would be more sensible to have this one go forward and this one go backward, but it doesn’t. This one goes forward; this one goes backward. And in the middle, with the little glow indicator on it, is the laser pointer. And as you can see when you turn the laser pointer on, there’s a little green light that goes on to remind you that you are using it. When you get ready to finish your presentation, you reverse the process. You’re going to take the wireless presenter, and take this slide switch that’s on the side and turn it from “On” back to “Off.” If you don’t do that, it will drain the battery. Then you want to remove the dongle from the computer and replace it in the base of the Inatek Wireless Presenter. Now you’re ready to pack up and head home.
