And with a big grin pulled me close and said... But I loved it! The best compliment I ever received . Joe is a national treasure!

As a former singer, having performed this piece many, many times I must say Mr. Bonamassa's use of the whammy bar perfectly illustrates where a voice would naturally have a tremolo, so I find it excellently placed. Comparing guitarists is a useless pastime, much like comparing apples to oranges. Both are fruits, but much different in flavor. Joe B is a legend on his own and surely does not need to emulate other guitarists to prove his worth. In my mind he is paying homage to his heroes.
