I know there is a temptation to want more possessions (Even if they are good dvds) but then we only have so much time to watch these things.I have wasted much money on merchandise in the past. I also know there is a tendency to read about the Bible and not actually study the Bible itself. Which is what David Pawson continually tries to encourage. Having said that I think it is good to support this ministry. David's teachings are timeless and he has given so much away for nothing. Thanks for commenting.

Anyone trying to get the gift of repentance a can plead the blood of Christ and pray about the Prodigal Son Parable for giving hope. Jesus said that, not Barnabus who wrote Hebrews, signing it in 13:22, word of exhortation is the meaning of his name, given him by the Apostles in Acts 4:36-37. He liked to encourage believers. And he had an Epistle of Barnabus mentioned in Colossians 4:10, its full of commandments, wisdom.

No wonder this man is not as popular as many other Biblical scholars. He goes against the grain and teaches salvation can be lost. Apparently he doesn't agree with Ephesians 1:13, "In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation- having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise".
Now I understand why he doesn't like to use chapters and verses.... this man doesn't like to be wrong.
He states things as if they are factual rather his own opinion.
I do get some insight to his teaching BUT there are many things he says that are not biblical and rather controversial.

    • @DavidPawsonMinistry
      @DavidPawsonMinistry  Месяц назад

Controversial? YES - unbiblical - I disagree with you. David is not popular because his message is not one people wish to hear
........That you can lose your salvation !
If you take the whole of scripture, there is much biblical evidence that supports Davids position. Lets take just a few below
David does not use chapters and verses for one reason - he teaches that one must consider a whole book not just a few verses
......or .....a text out of context is a pretext !
Jesus himself says - Matthew 10 - Those who endure to the end ..."will be" ...saved...... thats a promise but also a warning to remain faithful
Eph 2:8 We are saved by grace through Faith ........the greek word here translated as Faith also means "remaining faithful"
“If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭2‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭NIV‬‬. Is that not a warning about knowing the way of righteousness and then losing it ?
But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but be afraid. For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either. Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off.
(Romans 11:20-22) - You will be cut off! is that not a warning about losing what you have been given .....one salvation ?
      Colossians 1:23
he (God) has reconciled you by Christs body through death, to present you holy in his sight , without blemish and free from accusation ...if you continue in your faith established and firm
      - ‘IF’; conditional on continuing in the faith
      Hebrews 6:4-6
For it is impossible to restore again to repentance those who have once been enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, since on their own they are crucifying again the Son of God and are holding him up to contempt
......restore ? fallen away ? is your position that one cannot fall away ?.....this is but one piece of Biblical evidence you can
and finally the verse no one likes to accept
      Hebrews 10 :26
If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left,
Never saved in the first place? .....Salvation is past/ present and future, ........ conditional upon remaining faithful to the end
      - one of the core messages of the book of Revelation is " to he who overcomes, his name will be written in the Lambs book ...."
We may never agree on this ...but one day all will be revealed until then its not Davids opinion - its what Gods word states

@@DavidPawsonMinistry Please, tell me where this is different from the calvinist predestination...
19:05 God did predestine us, he chose us before we chose him, but he requires our cooperation...
20:01 ...then, press on and make your calling and election sure. Predestination? I believe in it. God
20:08 predestined me to be his Son, God elected me, chose me; he was after me long before
      20:14 I was after him, That’s true, isn't it?...
I'll tell you my point of view: The predestination is about YESHUA, not us.
YESHUA came to be because The Creator chose to create Him, to be Him, to incarnate and take our place on the cross and pay for our sins. So, IN YESHUA, all those who prefer to live as He did, are IN HIM, predestinated. We are NOT individually predestinated to be saved, cooperating or not.
THEN, after we CHOOSE, we start cooperating because HIS SPIRIT becomes part of us.
And the predestination in Romans 9 is about to be hebrew, too.

    • @DavidPawsonMinistry
      @DavidPawsonMinistry  4 месяца назад

@@marceloribeirosimoes8959 Hi the real big difference here - for Calvins predestination means predetermination
From the day David was born his life was predestined to become a Farmer , his Father was Professor of Agricuture at Durham University , David studied Agriculture, A farm was found for him to manage but David chose to become a Minister of a Church
      - Calvin teaches predetermination and unconditional election through an irresistable grace
      - Calvinism emphasizes God's sovereignty, believing that God predestines (predetermins) certain individuals for salvation.
      - Arminianism, on the other hand, emphasizes human free will, believing that individuals have the choice to accept or reject God's grace
John 3:16 is clear" all who believe in him will be saved .........not just those predesitned
Matthew 10 - those who endure to the end will be saved - conditional to finishsing the race
Eph 2:8 We are saved by grace through faith ...... or more accurately "We are saved by Grace through remaining faithful" - conditional
Thats the main difference which is why David is not an advoceate of Calvin
      - salvation is a choice - free will - to chose or reject
      - its conditional - on remaining faithful to the end and once saved a believer can lose their salvation
      - with warnings against deliverating continuing to sin after receiveing teh knowledge .......the no sacrifice remains that will save you and that includes the cross ,
That said Matthew 10 is clear and is an assurance - he that endues to the end WILL be saved

@@DavidPawsonMinistry I know Calvinism and its variants very well.
Thank you for your interest in teaching me about the subject.
In fact, Arminianism, (like all "isms"), in my opinion, is also wrong.
This is because each side's interpretation of freedom of choice is subject to their concept of the extent to which the Creator's will is decisive over each individual.
The point is that this teacher of what he believes the Bible teaches said he believes in predestination.
While the Bible shows the predestination of the Creator in the flesh, which means that those who are in HIM until the end (as you mentioned) fall under HIS predestination.
And, for me, it wasn't very clear that this is what he believes.

@@marceloribeirosimoes8959 HI I think the issue here is not so much theology but more the differences between the use of the words predestination and predetermination
      - Calvin is very much predetermination - David interprets "Predesinnation" differently to Calvin
      David believed
      - God wishes that all would be saved but leaves us the choice, free will
      - and the condition we are required to persevere to the end an to finish the race
      - remaining faithful to the end ....and we WILL be saved .....but NT has some 80 or more verses which imply one can lose their salvation .......dont englect your salvation or you can drift away
