I'm pretty sure it's almost in response to narwa trying to be a god like elder just like amatsu given narwa's title being "allmother" just like in Norse mythology
This is the extended story's final boss, and the true conclusion to the story in Kamura. We actually got hints as to Yomogi's true nature back in base Rise. I believe after getting the credits for the Village quests, the Felyne hiding in your walls hints at Yomogi having a sort of noble air to her. And eventually we find out that she is in fact a princess - albeit a princess of Tsukito City, which was destroyed by Amatsu when she was just a baby.
For anyone wondering, the theme wasn't redone but remixed. A lot of the lower quality soundfonts and samples used in the P3RD version were replaced with higher HQ versions so they did make sure the theme was made a lot higher quality.
I don't think anything has changed, I have the official flac quality version from capcom, the original one from P3rd ost Imported that I bought 13 years ago (2011) , and this one (from this youtube video) sounds noticeably lower quality in comparison, not op's fault, probably RUclips compression. I think they just used a lower quality one in the original game, while rise uses a slightly higher quality version. it was from the album "Monster Hunter Hunting Music Collection III ~Monster Hunter Portable 3rd & Rare Track~" Life Stoking Within the Storm.
Honestly, for me it's one of the best fights in the series. A lot of elder dragons just feel like funky animals. Rise Amatsu feels like a proper force of nature, as elder dragons should be.
@@nightlord5102 that's actually a nod to the Portable 3rd game where Zinogres were actually not a threat at all and was never properly documented by the guild until Amatsu arrived and drove Zinogres out of their natural habitats, causing them to be a threat to other villages.
were you perhaps using insect glaive becouse i had the same exsperience as you using insect glaive. (zinogre is just not tall anouth that you can't confortably jump on him with ig and amatsu is perfect to fight with ig)
Big spoiler: Amatsu attacked Tsukino city in the past, the home of Kagero and Yomogi (yomogi is actually the princess of Tsukino city, and Kagero is her guardian, that's why he always checks on her.)
@@magnabueno5360is it really a big spoiler? No one ever really cares about the side characters, and it's not like Yomogi's identity is plot relevant at any time besides this one hunt. Honestly, the monsters in these games have more significance than the people.

Amatsu's battle in Sunbreak has to be the best fight in the game
Its genuinely one of my all-time favorite monster hunter moments to date, and I've been playing since Tri.

Fatalis felt right for Iceborne.
