Really like Brenton's subtle sense of humour in his episodes. Love The Repair Shop.
Had to check this show out after the Game Grumps mentioned it. They seem to be big fans. It is very relaxing.
That was a first! I am glad that they were honest about it though. That makes me appreciate all of the marvelous repairs they do even more! I LOVE THIS SHOW!!!!!
Surprised it wasn't repairable
Love the kind fixing talent brilliance and interest your artist restore heirlooms
Well done with your amazing skills. Thank you so much.
Brill show love it amazing people xx
company that made the mechanism is still in business. The name was shown in the programme. I would have given them a phone call at the very least
Drill out the welds or rivets , heat the brackets, make square, re-rivet. the timer mech , probably have one in my flat , dad used to make a number of time switches (mainly lamp post and parking meters !!)
i am realy interested in your episodes.
How many episodes are there
It looks like they have 6 seasons.
Looks to me like a time and money issue, rather than a can't be done issue; anything clockwork can be fixed. Modern electrics is a different matter, but clockwork is not a problem. I refuse to believe a clockmaker cannot fix a clockwork mechanism, so it must be a time and money issue.
Why would you think that metric sockets would be appropriate? Wouldn't something British of that vintage use SAE?
More than likely British Standard Whitworth instead ...
Seeing that it now takes 20p to use it, it might well have been updated back in the early 80’s and a damaged bolt replaced with a metric one.
@@pauldunphy2832 looks like bolt was bolted, then welded to stop the odd person with a socket set dismantling !
@@highpath4776 but its amazing what a small grinder will loosen!
I could have designed an electronic version
I used to love this until it went wokey😢
Even I would know that wouldn't be a metric bolt ! What a plank !
Its also why every socket set 14mm 16mm never a 15mm. I tend to use the side drive sockets that hold the flats.
why arnt you on the repair shop then ?????????
@@maudieskeldon3552 Because I can spell, and understand basic grammar
well its nice to know that there is still people out there like you that they can come to ,, to have their items repaired ,, not many people have the knowledge , and very few make it to be picked to go to the repair shop ,, so well done you @@GrahamWalters
Graham Walters: I'm sure you've come across something you can't fix, namely maybe your attitude.
