The 2023 Ryder Cup is the 44th edition and runs between September 25 - October 1. Zach Johnson is the U.S. Team Captain and Luke Donald is the European Team Captain. The U.S. Team are the reigning champions after winning 19-9 at Whistling Straits in 2021. Every two years, 24 of the best players from Europe and the United States go head-to-head in match play competition. Drama, tension, incredible golf, camaraderie and sportsmanship are served in equal measure, captivating an audience of millions around the world. It’s an event that transcends sport, yet remains true to the spirit of its founder, Samuel Ryder.

Why is it that everybody can make money off the rider cup but the players. Media makes money. Golf companies release all of this rider cup merchandise. Fans aren't going for free. Everybody can make money but the players playing in it?

Another classic Europe vs America Ryder Cup. Glad to see Rory M. and Patrick C. get their points after the Day 2 incident. Next it's Bethpage Black, possibly the toughest track in America. Can't wait to see how the best golfers in the World handle it.

I recall watching the 1985 ryder cup as a 10 year old. Seve was magic and despite the excitement of all Ryder Cups they will just never recreate the magic of 1985 and 1987 in particular, and 1991 in Kiawah Island. Those years just won't be replicated. Seve was just a magical character and it was the beginning of the Ryder Cup as an intense rivalry.
Looking at the joy and celebrations today just brings to mind Seve spraying the champagne at the Belfry. There isn't any other golf event like it

Not as important as the majors, but the Ryder Cup is the most emotional event. The passion here is unmatched in golf... and there's no prize money-- one of the few pure contests left in pro sports. Please don't change it.

Congrats to both teams. Ryder cup is not about winning or loosing, it is about sportsmanship between USA and Europe. I though it is odd only the winning team was present in the trophy presentation and the whole presentation process should be better organise.

They could have made a more spectacular prize ceremony. No fireworks or anything special. Also, it was way too little photage of the winning team on the course afterwards celebrating. Could hardly see anyone of the players because they used drones from far away…. I felt robbed of the atmosphere.

Let me explain.
He was a very good golfer indeed - wins on the PGA Tour and Ryder Cup appearances are testament to this. I am not aware of what he has been doing for the last few years. I do believe he is one of the unfortunate sportsmen that can be known by those who are too young or maybe new to golf or general sport fans, and even those who love and follow golf, for his duff chip at the Ryder Cup hosted at Celtic Manor, Wales in 2010. It was the 17th hole, final day and the duff resulted in him losing his match. Honestly, it is the first thing I will say if his name is mentioned.

I was honestly not expecting to hear Hunter commentate much and thought he would be average. SO FAR FROM THE TRUTH. He was brilliant!!!!!!!! Played the balance well, informative, humorous, honest, relevant, and a breath of fresh air. Please tell me he has been hired for the PGA Tour !!! I didn't and don't know he commentated - I DO NOW!!!!
