well played Rob, I also play this course a lot over the last few years and it has a wonderful history. (over 100 years old) It was designed by a local resident Tom Williamson and was opened for play on the 26th May 1910 and the first threesome was John Taylor, James Braid and the legend Harry Vardon (6-Time Open Champion) himself.
Sadly the course saw a lot of downs throughout its history when it was ran by the Jack Barker company where it was literally a dumping ground before they went bust. Then over the course of the 2019 Covid Pandemic Nottingham City Council was going to shut it for good but luckily it was saved by the company its ran by now. They have done such great work and I just simply love the course and by looks of your wonderful footage you got a break in the weather as it plays very long when wet and 15, 16 & 17 all get waterlogged. I am hoping this terrible rain finally ends so I can get out there ^_^.
great video and good golf :)

Thanks for the comment David, it was great to learn more about the course and it’s had such a long history that I had no idea about! Thank goodness it was saved from being closed, when I was there it was so busy, not just with golfers but people from the park using the clubhouse for ice creams etc, it was great to see. And with the green fee being so reasonable it really is a way to get new and current golfers playing regularly in the local area.
I’m really glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the lovely comment. Good luck with getting back out there and thank you for subscribing too!

Great round, pity about the few small mishaps ,youd have finished under 80. Well played. On those tight par 4s i use a 2 or 3 iron,a few yards shorter than a driver but guaranteed to be on the fairway. Just my take.

Thanks Oliver, it was a shame I got on the bogey train and couldn’t hit better approaches on 13/14, and I massively regret hitting driver on 17, like you say an iron would’ve been much better, but I know for next time! Thanks for commenting.
