VideoScribe animation that introduces Politics and International Relations by arguing that everything is political. Scripted and read by Dr William Clapton.
Everything is political , but not everything needs to have its political attributes emphasized at the expense of their other attributes. And you don't have to be an asshole and be hostile and exclude people who disagree to be on the 'right side of history' . You can take a different approach and take the point of view that in most cases a hateful attitude is the result of ignorance or a past injury , and that gently educating someone with kindness will eventually work to change their opinion, and that the genuinely evil who spread hate will not be persuaded by any kind of approach you may take and the only real response to them is to ignore them rather than risk causing injuries to bystanders by using an angry and/or violent response.
Politics happen whenever people interact. Our society is made from interaction between people. And the world we live in is a world build by the society. Ergo everything is the result and an expression of politics. By recognizing that everything is political, everything can be analyzed through political theories. It is no longer only possible to know how things are but why they are and even how they should be.

@@razzor4708 Politics, according to Aristotle himself, is the way in which the polis (society) is guided, in order to achieve the common good, happiness and good coexistence among citizens. You can read this in his book on politics. because of this, I TOTALLY disagree that everything is political, people just reinterpret its meaning (most of the time, leftists), if you interpret the word, it's easy to say that everything is political.

Political meaning can be found in anything, even where there is none there is some, you may not recognize it, be able to understand it still has a meaning or one you can derive from it.
It is though lol objectivity is different depending on who's mouth it's coming out of, and if you mean like the real objective intangible truth well that truth exists in some kind of cultural political structural context and is in fact political, a manifestation of whatever the politics surrounding that truth is. If the objective truth your thinking is "I watched a movie today at home," then we have to understand the context of all that. Where is home? I am an American, and America has historical context and hegemonic standing on the world stage. What's a movie? A movie is a commodity form of entertainment that exists in the form we know it because of systematic things that have happened in humanity's history. They are mostly made my big wealthy corporations, and independent films don't gain the same popularity. That is political, and it makes it so that big corporations are controlling the majority of the entertainment, which for better or worse, good or bad, is a political thing. Then, there are some people alive that don't possess the resources to watch a movie. The fact that i do own such a resource is a function of political and systemic things having to do with where in the worldi live and my nation's politics. So that's a top-of-the-head example of how just saying something seemingly apolitical like "I watched a movie today at home," could be explained in a political sense, basically because it exists in a political world and has political contexts. It's not said in a vacuum.

If you understand what "politics" or the "political" is, you'll understand this easily. Pol theory 101 really. Try David Held.
