    I just learned on the Flysimware discord that it's actually a flush toilet according to the manual! It's not kitty litter! It's "water and chemicals".

    • @FlyFromHome
      @FlyFromHome  Год назад

      Interesting! The 414 I flew on had a kitty litter potty, but that was an early one with a short nose, not the deluxe ‘AW’ variant we have here.

    Watching this video a little late but wanted to comment on the "Cabin Temperature Mini Game."
    Under the left armrest, just left of the cabin heat toggle switch is the cabin heat blower toggle. It's totally hidden by the armrest and is in the off position by default. It remained chilly in the cabin because I believe you turned the heat on but not the blower. Just FYI.
    I like these long videos very much but they're a bit of a commitment sometimes.

    Interesting video thanks! Was a bit confused that the pitch & mixtures were set forward so late in the descent - I always thought it would be earlier but good to know :-)

    • @FlyFromHome
      @FlyFromHome  Год назад +1

      Pitch stays fairly course until late on final approach unless you need the extra drag - it’s much quieter for the passengers and anyone on the ground! The 414 is turbocharged so there’s no change in fuel air ratio in the descent, so your main concern is keeping heat in the oil - which you can do by keeping the mixture lean!

    Great video, as always! I learnt a few things about the 414 today, so thank you!

    Great flight. With that wx radar lit up like Santa Claus' workshop though, i think I would have been running off scared to my alternate!

    I Input LB into the fuel computer instead of gallons makes it easier and no conversion needed

      Might be a smart move for me in the future!

      @@FlyFromHome sorry i got it wrong but you can see the LB on the tablet so no need for conversion. It’s on the fuel page lower right corner

    I got LB in the Tablet not kg. Maybe you have kg in flightsim settings set ?

    Why the GTN 750 payware wx radar is so bad ? Is there a chance to use functional wx radar on tris and other aircraft ? I tought that the premium PMS GTN 750 is good. Maybe with REX weather Rita works, what do you think?

    • @FlyFromHome
      @FlyFromHome  Год назад

      The weather radar in MSFS is fairly basic at present, the one we have on the GTN is about as good as it gets at the moment. Once Asobo work out how to release full 3D weather data we should see a big improvement across the board.

    IIRC Exeter will try and route you out via EXMOR northbiund but you went right over it anyway.
    Hey! you did a thing! must investigate the 414 more, missed a lot of these new features. Superspuds Exeter is great, except the PAPI are reversed - ILS glidescopes are fine, just dont match.
    Logan took over the internal Flybe routes, they're in several times a day.

    • @FlyFromHome
      @FlyFromHome  Год назад

      That’s why I won’t have seen Logan then lol. The auto routing thing that comes with Navigraph is usually mostly correct somehow. And yeah the scenery is brilliant to say that it’s free. Definitely better than some of the payware stuff out there.

    Heyo! Good xmas weather flight in one of my fav aircraft. Really nice landing. I've been flying the Wilga exclusively since its release, but I think I'm gonna hop back into this.
