1:32 Played the trumpet solo on this song my freshman year. Reminds me of my old band director. We were really close and he was a good family friend until he got a better director job in Dallas.
I remember having a substitute for our band teacher. He was really old and he conducted so slowly. So we got to measure 23 and started building, and we completely left him in the dust at the point where all the sections come together (I forgot which one since I don’t have it anymore). I felt really proud of ourselves because we could do it on each other’s cues.

Sometimes I just listen to this to have flashbacks of 7th grade honors band, things were soo simple , the memories of growth and practicing this wonderful peice of music with my band brought tears, many lost memories have been revived. Btw I'm a french horn in highschool now in Wind Ensemble it's crazy how time flies.This music is a perfect balance.
I agree. I played this 7th grade as well I'm clarinet. A lot of melodies lol. But the times of 7th grade are brought back. This song reminds me of the fun but also reminds me that I can't have that feeling again so I must continue to do my best and practice and really have fun with the songs to come.

Just played this today for my concert of Junior District Band! This was an awesome piece! Favorite part was measure 23, brings out the bass spotlight! Fp's were also fun! I messed up a bit during To Coda. Nobody noticed atleast.

We didn’t play it right at 0:52 my teacher made the trumpet play along at that part and I was so confused because I didn’t see the measurements for it.
