In this video we go over the theory that Himoko Toga, is actually Neito Monoma's sister! This theory has sort of been floating around in discussion for a little bit, so let's talk about it! Is it possible that there's another pair of secret siblings hiding in UA's first year classroom? Many speculate that Dabi and Shoto Todoroki are related, but are we dismissing what could possibly another clear sibling connection!? Let's discuss the theory!

What if Monoma actually has Toga’s quirk, but because his parents were afraid he’d turn out just like her, they forced him to never use it to the point that he doesn’t know that there’s more to his abilities than copying quirks?

I dunno what to say but dang that struck me hard.
Oh so basically the opposite of how toga’s quirk, BUT monoma can only maintain the quirks for minutes but toga can maintain them for a day (if she knows how they work) unlike monoma. Also, monoma doesn’t have to know how the quirks work, at least I don’t think. Not only that- BUT monoma only needs to touch somebody for their quirk but toga needs to drink their blood. This isn’t against your comment I’m just saying possible things.

He could have tried to have a child take his place but noun were able to use his quirk. But one child was able to spawn the generation that would later gift Neito and Toga the ability to mimic quirks. Maybe neito was put for adoption to not be influence by toga, so he now lives with his aunt and her son is that kid who annoyed Bakugo. Also their mother side is Belgian and their father is all for one's descendent.
So then does this mean that Eri is Hana and somehow made herself younger by mistake then that will make Shiggy to try to redeem himself maybe
If Dabi is Touya as well it could be interesting to have Toga and Monoma be siblings as well because it's a nice parallel that gives Class B some time in the limelight, not to mention Dabi and Toga both came to the League of Villains at the same time because of Stain so having them have a slight connection beyond that would be genius writing honestly

What if one their parents have a type of copying quirk and the other has a weird non disgusting blood quirk, like touching someone to tell their blood type.
They could evolve differently in the kids but this theory has a lot more grounding than you think

I would argue that Togas quirk isn’t better than Monoma since she required blood but Monoma needs a touch, this means Toga would definitely have to engage for much longer and hand to hand combat, although I’m pretty sure Toga herself gets an edge due to her skills
Toga quirk is more advantageous as it can be used for stealth and she can copy mutant quirks

But I’m talking about a straight one on one fight, and even if she can copy quirks we still don’t know the circumstances on which she can copy quirks, I’m assuming she can’t just copy anyone’s because if she could then that would throw everything out of balance, there is mostly likely some kind of drawback. What minima lacks in stealth he makes up for in the fact that his quirk is all around better for confrontation, toga needs blood which she could extract given time in a 1v1 but it would be better if she could just touch, letting her not have to engage with the enemy as much.

I had this theory ever since Toga's flashback. I mean think about it. They're both blonde, both crazy, and both have a copy quirk. If they were siblings I wouldn't be surprised and people were trying to tell me I was reaching lol

well looking at the quirks it may be the reason why toga is now able to copy quirks as well. If say the father could copy quirks similar to monoma and the mother could shapeshift (but without the blood thing) toga having inherited a few parts of her fathers quirk dna part while mostly inheriting from her mother could very well explain why she can copy quirks and why that ability manifested so late into her life, because the amount she inherited from her father was not enough to be easily useable. But because of her strong emotions towards uraraka and being near death allowed that small part she got from her dad to awaken.

@@driveknight9959 this statement makes no sense especially knowing that Horikoshi takes inspiration from American comics and their characters. Toga felt familiar but until the "All it takes is one bad day" line did it all become clear. Twice is a bit of Deadpool and Joker both insane but in different ways. None of the characters in BNHA are inherently better than their American counterparts but they show how a Japanese twist can expand the character in to something new.

All mights right arm is seemingly stronger than his left arm (representing dabi/shoto)
And his left arm is weaker but then becomes the one to land the hit at the cost of it wrecking his arm *deku style* (representing toga/monoma)
Basically he could do the switch but he would annoy pretty much everyone. Though it would be interesting to see monoma discover that his sister is a villain that was involved in the attacks (in my opinion it’s possible that shoto knew who dabi was as he stole bakugou)

I never even thought about this! I love the idea so much and idc if there are more than one or two hero and villain siblings. It's awesome!
I think it would be better to say that they are cousins, than siblings. It would help explain the huge differences in their quirks, while retaining the copying similarity, and would still hold up with upbringing, but would allow for them to have different names all together
Now the Dabi and Todoroki being brothers theory I want to believe. But Toga and Monoma being siblings theory I just don't see it.

Ever since I watched the episode in season 4 where bakugo, todoroki, camie, and inasa have to maintain the kindergartners, I wondered if the arrogant crazy blond kid was monomas little brother cuz they look alike, they have similar personalities, and I don't think it revealed his quirk from what I can remember but it could be a copy quirk for all we know.

Another point in this theory's favor is a narrative one. Monoma is incredibly disliked by many fans, but is obviously being set up to have more time in the manga. How do you win them over? Tragic backstory that explains his attitude. And how do you make a tragic villain who people care about even though she has definitely killed a bunch of people? (Well, we already love Toga, but...) Giving here a blood tie to an existing hero would make her a more tragic character if she dies, or even pave the way for a possible redemption arc.

Maybe Menoma is spying for his sister. They could both feel smothered by his parents but he goes along with it to help his sister.

While both activation requirements are different they do carry one similarity, access to the users DNA. yeah Neito doesn't make direct contact to copy quirks like he did with Izuku but clothes are capable of carrying traces of DNA, via flakes of skin and bodily oils as the most likely source. Himiko ingesting blood is a more obvious source of DNA so that can also back up the theory to an extent.
Todoroki and Dabi aren't siblings.

I hope these theories are true it would make the league of villains a lot more personal. Monoma and Himiko, Dabi and todoroki. These connections would make the plot a lot more enticing

What if these two are cousins? Like, one of Toga's parents is the sibling to one of Monoma's? It would make sense, then, that they'd have similar quirks if, for both of them, one parent had some form of copying ability (or at least the genes for one). It would also explain the last names easily, as people take on each other's surnames after marriage, and why Toga's quirk ties in with blood while Monoma's doesn't. Perhaps the other of Toga's parents has some kind of minimal/not very useful blood-related quirk, which changed the other parent's copying quirk when it was passed down to Toga. In Monoma's case, I'd say he either inherited his quirk straight from the one parent with the same quirk, had a quirkless parent, or had a parent whose quirk tied into touching people. It would be even better if they were siblings, but I think that cousins makes a bit more sense and is a more realistic possibility in the future. After all, most of the point made in this video would still stand if they were just cousins, and it neatly wraps up most of the holes. What do you guys think?
I think the sibling could still work if Neito was given up for adoption to his aunt to keep him away from Himiko's influence on mentality. That would also explain that one kid who annoyed Bakugo being his cousin. Maybe Neito's first quirk he copied was Himiko's and caused some serious mental after effects and withdrawals. Maybe when do meet it will either be Neito questioning his path as a hero, or take out and capture his sister.
lets take into account half siblings. monoma and toga could be half siblings so that would account for the last name difference and the weird slight differences in their quirks .like togas dad got the monoma wife pregnant through an affair and her husband never found out the kid wasnt his.their father could have a copy type quirk. doesn't have to be a father but you get the point.
Also, in one chapter, it seemed Toga was able to copy Uraraka's quirk when she shape-shifted into her.
Lmfao this is great but i think we’re being a little harsh on Monoma (Insert panel of Monoma meeting Eri).
His attitude seems to stem more from feeling like he is a nobody and so he acts extreme to stick out. If you look at how he actually talks to others outside of 1A, he is kind of decent person. He loves his teacher classmates and he shows some empathy to Eri and Shinso. He also doesn't seem to hate 1A because of themselves, except Bakugo, but just how everyone will just see him and his class as just nobodies. Even when he mocks them, he is always showing off 1b, not himself. I think once he realises that what he wanted as child, is right in front of him now in form of his classmates and teacher.
So who else from the LoV is related to someone from UA... Discover in the next episode of The Maury Show where we also find out through a DNA test if this man named All For One is the father to these two children.

This actually seems plausible to me. We have other characters with similar Quirks who are NOT related, but there are also distinctive physical differences between them and visual distincters in their Quirks. To have two blond characters with a knack for analyzing others, personalities that imply a tragic backstory that gave them a different perspective on the world, and Quirks that let them COPY OTHER QUIRKS - an extremely rare attribute - does set up possibilities. And even though we got a lot of Toga backstory, we didn't get it ALL. Just like we got a big dose of Twice's past in ch. 115 and then the rest just recently, I think Toga has more backstory incoming. Her family were kept off-panel, but were instrumental to her suppression of her true personality. Maybe they treated her brother the same way, causing him to be bitter and sarcastic?

Hm, this is interesting ! I never thought about this concept, but it’s a stretch. I think we’ll have a better shot at the Touya theory being canon compared to this one. But I still like the idea of it
