Yeah but they're not saying the real reason why Pippen wasn't in the game. They making it seem like Pippen was was mad that kukoc was taking the last shot. I don't think that was the reason. I think Phil got upset with Scottie because of the play before the time out. When there was just enough time to get one shot off and they had a timeout to use but Scottie had Pete Meyers to inbound the ball to him and was gonna take a full court shot instead. Or it could have been that Pippen already knew the plan was for kukoc and that's why he inbounded the ball the way he did. He definitely wrong for that but also Phil was wrong for not trusting his best player in that type of moment.

Sai Krishna Gorantla Nobody said kindness was a sign of bad leadership. What i meant is that you can’t ever make decisions that are unanimously appreciated. Also in a competitive or professional setting i don’t think being always nice to everybody is gonna work out because some people need tough love to be properly motivated. Most of the time you get a good cop/bad cop duo leading the team because it’s very difficult to be proficient in both roles.

You have to look at it from his view though... if it were Michael, he would be taking the shot. Scottie felt disrespected in the moment. His boss basically said that he trusted kukoc more in the moment
Woke AF You don’t always get it in to your 1st option. Sometimes the play breaks down and you have to go to your 2nd/3rd option. Pippen throwing it in meant to him he wasn’t an option on the play at all. If they had someone else toss it in, I don’t think he gets as upset, Just my thoughts..
Documentary is Phenomenal. To me it leaves zero doubt about who is the goat. I mean look at this dude, dominate his reality and everyone in it, he's unreal. One thing that stands out is how Jordan never had a shred of self doubt.
There’s two different feelings when I see Jordan vs other great players that he gives me a feeling that Jordan would give up anything to win but he also understood he couldn’t do it himself so he had to develop his team to a championship lvl along with himself. I respect Kobe Bron and KD but they aren’t ones to keep their teammates to that lvl. Kobe was too rough which caused Shaq to leave, Lebron will rather trade to get pieces then develop talent, KD will rather leave or not be the leader.
And for Pippen I agree with him saying he’d do it all over again. It part of what made him great . Things you go through shape you into who you are now so I’m sure he meant it was a life lesson that fueled him in sport and off the court as well. He’s a great analyst . And I think because of how he and mike felt about Kukoc getting love from Krause before ever putting on a uniform pissed him off when Phil called the play for Kukoc . He may not have been mad if it was designed for anybody else . I’m sure of it !
Besides show how great Jordan was, these episodes have shown how brutal the media was against Jordan. Them trying to say that Jordan’s gambling was the cause of his father’s death. Probably why he’s tends to be very private.
And the fact that Scottie said in 2011 Lebron was better overall is why I have lost some respect for him. Granted he was a great player that I love about him. But you did some wild stuff and MJ was the one who helped you win and you said that, I was disappointed.
He was just being honest, but you forget, Pippen also said there is no game where he would pick Lebron over MJ. So basically MJ is a better winner. And thats far superior than all-around stats. Thats what Pip has said. Pippen isn't an articulate person by any means, if you see him speak during sports shows so I think people misunderstand him and take him word for word verbatim. I feel bad for him in that aspect. Just like that mistake he made by sitting made him learn and grow to be a better person and that's why he wouldn't change it. But I don't think he's the best at explaining his mind.
Anyone think that Jordan knowing it was Fathers day set up the whole series to have that game on Fathers day? I think thats why Payton had a couple of good games, Cuz mike let him
63 the final resurrection LeBron is 10-9 vs 50-win teams and 3-4 against 60-win teams in the playoffs. Kobe is 25-10 against 50-win teams and 2-5 against 60-win teams. Jordan is 20-7 against 50-win teams and 7-2 against 60-win teams. But LBJ has played tougher competition 😂🤣🤣🤣

I watched episode 8 last night where Michael Jordan returned to MSG on March 25, 1995. In the event of the game known as "The Double Nickel Game", He averaged 55 points in his MSG performance against the New York Knicks.
I disagree with Stephen’s talking points about Scottie Pippen. He was the most underrated player and without him Jordan would not have won many titles. He was underpaid because of the selfish nature of franchise and he too had to make sacrifices. Jordan as a leader should have advocated for him because we was paid 20 or 30 times more. It’s all about the money, but Pippen has character. This is not a good assessment by Stephen personally speaking.
Michael Jordan has a very brilliant mind the way Steve Job did. People with less complicated minds will never understand how or why they did those things. Many will never understand their methods to their madness...
I don't understand some people Jordan won 6 championships and yes he had to be very stern and he rode his teammates to be the absolute best version of themselves to 6 championships and they all admit it was hard but they understood Jordan never asked anything of them that he didn't ask of himself!
Michael jordan the best player of all time that played for the best team of all time (95-96) was part of the best trio of all time and part of the best duo of all time with the best coach of all time, 🐐

Jordan Mack jordan was killing it his last three seasons he was getting cheddar he got 4 mil when he came back from retirement then the next two years got 30 mil a year
You know these are the EXACTTTTTTT 3 moments I thought about with pip...... even before I watched this. Once or twice okay but 3 times is a characteristic trait. He even said he wouldn't change it!!!! LMAO smh
This documentary elevates Pippen and brings to light a couple of low points as well. Overall, every player that played on those teams are elevated. Jon Paxson, Hodges, Kerr, Grant, Cartwright, Wennington...all of them get their due for enduring all this with the best player ever. They all reaped the rewards of being associated with that greatness.
My only complaint so far, and I haven't seen episode 8 yet, is that they're not painting the picture for the youngsters quite enough. The final series against the lakers deserved a more in-depth look because 1) it appeared at one point that he took on all 5 lakers and scored, and 2) the "spectacular move" as Marv Albert called it created a real time illusion that helped build his mythos. It appeared in real time as if he changed directions in mid air. It was as if he was at the front of the rim and he flew horizontally to the side of the rim to avoid defenders. In fact, I remember sports radio callers only 10 years ago saying "remember that time he changed directions in the air?". Also, they need to cover the illusion in his dunk from the free-throw line at the contest. The importance of that to his mythos can't be overstated. The illusion there was that he actually took flight because though he was only in the air for about one second, his release of the ball at the bottom of the arc created the illusion that he was in the air significantly longer. These things to Jordan were like the moonwalk to Michael Jackson.
I can’t lie, I thought it was mighty funny how Mj came back with 17 games left, dropped a double nickel 5 games in, bragging about how Bj made him made and how he oust Charlotte for it. However, after losing to Orlando he was out of shape. Yet the reason they won next year had nothing to do with Dennis. It all had to do with Mj’s mental fortitude. 😂

The biggest thing i take from this documentary is that the eastern conference was tougher for the Bulls than the actual NBA finals series
The East back then was how the West is today.
The jazz series almost went to a seventh game, wasn’t an easy series
I wouldn't say that... All of them were difficult... It's just that you played each other more in the east so you had more chances to game plan... Seattle was a power house
The eastern conference finals was the NBA finals back then. If you pass that, then you will win finals automatically. Good old days
Hmmm, the Orlando magic wonthe Eastern conference finals and got swept by the west Houston rockets in that era 🤔
Seeing MJs faces watching GP talk about the finals series made me realize Kobe copied that man to scary lengths. Mike was a crazed killer.
On the head
That Buzzer Beater Vs. The Hawks in ‘95 that they showed is the exact same play Kobe did on the buzzer beater Vs. The Suns in like 05, crazy how much Mike taught him
Exactly Kobe Bryant copy a lot of Michael Jordan Style
@Light Work LOL yes he's from my hometown Philadelphia Pennsylvania. I'm not a Laker fan I'm a 76ers fan old school all the way
onidtubes i wish he could have gave Garry Payton more respect. In the first 3 games jordan shot 46%. When Garry Payton guarded him, Jordan shot 36%. In the game 6 game the Bulls won. Jordan shot 5 for 19 on 26% shooting. If Garry Payton wasn't on Jordan would of continued to put up those numbers. But Garry slowed that down by pressuring Jordan. To say Garry had a bunch of help is a weak excuse also since back then you couldn't Play ZONE DEFENSE. And Garry did hold Kob to 7 for 21 shooting back in 2001 but again Kobe played in the Zone Defence era.
Everybody who has been in the military know this, leadership isn’t a popularity contest.
Learned this from my coach who has a military background. Crazy how true this is
Leadership is definitely not a cake walk. People wanna lead not knowing what it takes !
There are multiple type of leaders. Jordan was a great leader but that doesn't mean people who are nice to their team mates are bad leaders 😂
I learned so much from this documentary. Thank you MJ for never giving in or giving up. You ARE the GREATEST!
MJ : "I can't say I'm the goat. That'd be disrespectful to all the legends that I never had the chance to play against"
Lebron : "Yep, that one made me the goat"
Real talk, just one of many examples why shouldnt even be a discussion of who is the GOAT. MJ all day.

And that one statement is why people don't like Lebron. Nobody should proclaim themselves the greatest. Unless you're Muhammed Ali.

When Jordan was almost in tears I kind've felt sorry for him in the sense is i feel he doesn't get why people don't fully comprehend why he pushed them so hard and he did it to benefit the team to win rings. He didn't do it to intentionally be a bad guy on purpose. So i felt for the brother. They just didn't really understand him.
That’s still not a justification. He’s not a bad guy but he choose the wrong outlet and it just so happened that by his own talents and sheer circumstance of his time, it didn’t hurt his chances to get those rings but every one of them came at the price
vinnythewebsurfer u must be soft

vinnythewebsurfer wrong outlet?? Winning 6 rings doesn’t sound like the wrong outlet to me. Jordan pushed his teammates hard and they won because of it.

@Light Work Nope not Jewish. Dude before the murder was already infamous because he cold cocked another boxer at the end of their bout (which he lost by decision) when the guy was trying to shake his hand. James Butler is the name of the boxer who murdered max brother.

But he did it with fear
He won't be able to do that now because of social media
Wane Walker but he still had their respect. Like the situation with Kerr, he could’ve justified it but apologized right after.
The last 2.5 min. of Ep. 7 are amazing. MJ said and done it all. No apologies needed.
Can’t expect Jordan to get through the Pistons without developing that toughness .
Why is Molly back?
@Marcus Schultz Calm down Molly.
@Marcus Schultz She doesn't know more sports then me lol. She's just got a big mouth
And the fact that Scottie said in 2011 Lebron was better overall is why I have lost some respect for him. Granted he was a great player that I love about him. But you did some wild stuff and MJ was the one who helped you win and you said that, I was disappointed.
Derek Matthews you forgetting Scottie helped Jordan win to and played a bigger role than gets credited for.
I think thats why Payton had a couple of good games, Cuz mike let him
I said it then & then I said it now. I always felt MJ purposely lost game 4 & 5 to win game 6 on father's day
@63 the final resurrection how do you measure "harder competition"?
@63 the final resurrection only in the finals not the playoffs. Jordan has eliminated more 60 win teams in the post season than anyone.
63 the final resurrection LeBron is 10-9 vs 50-win teams and 3-4 against 60-win teams in the playoffs.

Pippen hauled in more NBA salary than Jordan over the course of their careers. Pippen got $109.9 million and MJ got around $90 million.

6:09 max lyke “what he agrees” lol
