We (Bristol City) are also playing Newport County at midday on the day of the Aldershot game, so at a wild guess both games will be made up of first teamers & reserve/youth players from our point of view & these are our first real preseason friendlies (We played Wolves on Saturday behind closed doors which supporters didn’t know about until after the game had finished) so we’re really just getting started from a match playing point.
But as Tommy Widdrington says, it’s all about performances & getting minutes into the players rather than results at this time of year, so hopefully both sets of players come through unscathed & can carry on their preseasons with no worries.
