Wouldn't firestorm be just fine if we wouldnt have to make a whole build to spec into it. So to just make it a base spell for devestation? Cause it isn't really terrible in itself, its mostly terrible because you need to ditch good stuff to get a mediocre situational spell.

Played evoker until Aug came out. This spec has ruined the class
Me as well, as soon as it came out and people started telling me to play Aug I switched classes entirely. Even if I topped meters in raid and m+ it didn't matter. I enjoyed the simple rotation with the utility as it was (rescue, spot heals, lust, aoe dmg reduction, sleep walk, etc) and the mobility. But it isn't fun being told what to do.
I don't think the example given is good, even if I agree the spell sucks. We're progging Mfyrak (just barely making P2 consistently), and I was subbed in to heal one night and use Tranq during the second move with spatial, which I did not receive the first pull (not unexpected, new target). I moved and lived but the 1 tick of Tranq we got did nothing to save the pull. There wasn't really any counterplay to overcome a missed cd, everything is more or less already assigned or allocated. Living for a few extra seconds before people start ticking out does not seem to me a meaningful skill expression. Best case we're stealing resources we might need for intermission and further muddying the reason we wiped, which was of course the missed spatial.
If it's making people worse I think it's more so highlighting how hard it can be to get DPS used to pressing assigned utility buttons. Some paladins telling on themselves with freedoms and sac, not just an aug issue.
I dont think paradox is the worst spell and should be removed, because its a good spell for high m+ keys. The thing is that players will be worse with it, well could be. I agree with you, paradox should be on general tree, not aug only, but this is far away from beign the worst spell. Just because u dont like it, it doesnt mean its bad. On 28 tyra fall and everbloom it could be very useful for example. To summarize: put paradox on general tre, gg

Stopped when you said spatial paradox. There is no world where Prescience isn't currently the worst spell in the game. It affects all damage meters/logs, making decision making a complete nightmare for groups, raid leaders, and developer balancing. I'll continue watching but yeah nothing you say will convince me otherwise.
That's a bit bigger of an issue, its more the entire Aug spec as a whole and issues with log hooks. I've already covered this topic, today is something new.
AUG is basically the worst spec in the game. All the aug spells are the worst. simply put :)

And yet people can kill the bosses. I prefer gameplay over some dorks raging cause they can't turbo-analyze shit. Not every backend part of WoW needs to be easily identifiable for the player base as long as the game works, and it mostly does.
@@primal4887 If you don't want to understand or analyze performance then don't. Why are you telling other players how to enjoy the game? Go enjoy your AOTC guilds where all it is just gameplay.
It's PI, remove it, please. It's toxic with how the game operates... Spatial paradox is bad too, yes, it's a Band-Aid to poorly designed classes. Just like how you needed dragons to taxi priests on a certain boss! PI is worse though, sorry. I'm sick of hearing people winge on the daily about it and crying for buffs, gets old after hearing it for years.
The entire Aug spec is "the worst thing happened to WoW", never before a single spec caused so much drama and frustration. Because of the way it affects all the other specs and even roles. I wish they'd completely reboot the spec and make it a tank spec. The first mail-armor spell-weaving tank in the game, why not?! Also all the external DPS cds should be removed, PI, prescience, and spatial as well, they bring more drama and harm into the game than actually help people enjoy the game -- and that should be the #1 priority, to design a game that people enjoy, even if you have to sacrifice some lore or fantasy flavor for that. Like the silly excuse for 25yd range, if said "fantasy flavor" only brings pain and frustration, there is no place for that in the game.
PS: For a second I thought that' d be Firestorm x) But yea, it's just a useless talent, it's hardly the worst spell in WoW, there are many dead talents and spells like this across the other classes x)
Excellent video as always Preheat. I especially enjoyed the part where you said "Augmentation is a terribly designed spec and if you enjoy it you should probably play a different game." I hope the devs listen to you on this subject and remove Augmentation from the game posthaste.

I love Aug. Just keep a few buffs on my friends and they loving the damage. Also my healer loves Spatial Paradox in m+ when the Floor Is Lava. So yeah horrible takes. May Blizzard never listen to you.

worst spell in the game classwise --> temporal warp. worst spells in the game, all single target externals like PI, presience, blessing of summer etc. ruining logs, parses and classtuning on top of the aug mess...gg blizz -.-

Yeah i will drop Evoker even tho i like dev but the guilt tripping into playing Aug because "its 1000 times better in that fight" is just something i realy cant stand anymore. So i wish they would just delete Aug out of the game or make it so useless that it basicaly no longer exists. The 5man group constalation shiftet from 1Tank 1Heal 3DPS into 1T1H1Aug 2DPS and it sucks. Blizz destroyed the identity of Firemage by making it an uptime spec and no longer a real burst spec with SKB so yeah remove that too. SKB is just too strong to not use it and I liked the BFA Fire mage with the bracers and necklace powers. Last but not least: PI not because it bothers me in particular but all the energy of our raiders fighting over how gets PI and the makros dont work and "oh look at my dmg" is just tiring. Just get rid of the fucking external DPS CDs.
