I love Dollywood. The theming is outstanding. The food is amazing. The atmosphere is freaking awesome. The shows and entertainment are incredible... The coaster collection is world class... There are a ton of unique and cool family and flat ride attractions... It really is one of the best parks in North America... I would probably put it at #2 park I have ever been to only behind Knoebels.
Great video! Wildwood Grove looks nice, but it seems mostly it's for small/young kids. I wish there were more rides and activities for adults. Maybe we will get more adult type rides in the next expansion.
I need to go back to Dollywood later this year, cause when I went in April, Wildwood Grove wasn't open.. besides I've never been during their Smoky Mountain Christmas festival, so that sounds like fun
Dragon Flier is the newest generation Vekoma suspended family coaster, so it is glossy smooth, and it's a cool ride :) There's also an exact one at Energylandia too, and we also got a similar one, which is Freedom Flyer, which is a bit more tame than Dragon Flier looks, because that doesn't go too fast
Thank you very much. Thunderhead is pretty good. It's more on the rough side to be honest. It's one of my lower rated GCI's. Still worth the ride though.
Thunderhead runs different upon the weather. It can run slow and smooth after a heavy rain in the morning and run intense when its hot. I've had some awesome night rides but this coaster has held up quite well.
I hope they do it since they asked season pass holders in a survey between that, a spinning coaster or a dark ride. If they go hyper and they have the view from the lift hill pointing out to Mount Leconte, they would have a huge hit.
It just depends on what you like. they have solid coasters, great food, and unique shopping. This new kids area steps it up even more. People are friendly and the food is great. It's a nice change of pace from the cedar fair and six flags parks.

And you’re absolutely correct about them needing a hyper coaster of some type but I really hope it’s nothing redundant in typical hyper coaster fashion. But I have feeling they are gonna end up slapping something like Mako in this park without thinking outside of the box I would be really shocked if they did. With Exception of Lightning rod and wild eagle there line up is kinda weak.
CoasterFanatics The only reason I would go to Dolly Wood personally is to get the Wild Eagle and Lightning Rod credit or maybe even Thunder Head or Tennessee Tornado. Another thing a noticed they hardly have any high thrill flat rides like a Top Spin or a Top Scan etc. Dolly Wood is just eye candy that has the potential to be a lot better than what it is.
I go here all the time and this isn't for you. Half the visitors come here to eat, shop and watch the shows and admire the look at the park. They could care less for Coaster Snobs who arrive with power bars and ten bucks in their pockets. This is why Disney, Silver Dollar City and Dollywood grow in attendance and amusement parks stay stagnant. They know where the money is.

Honestly,Dollywood reminds me of some small European theme parks,mostly fraispetruis city,maybe beacuse of the theme

Dollywood definitely has room and money to expand for years and years without worrying about residential issues.
True that, there are a lot of land locked parks that would kill to have that kind of space.

Dollywood seems like very beautiful theme park but I think I would really get bored really quick. This place still doesn’t have that wow factor.
