    I was so moved by watching this episode.
    As a Ghanaian who is accustomed to having bush meat since infancy, I hope the laws are enforced to protect these endangered species from extinction.
    Thank you Sonny for highlighting this on a large platform like yours. Nonetheless you inspired me today after work to pass by this chop bar in London to get some pea nut butter soup and rice balls for dinner.
    That soup was mouthwatering.

      It's a CITES I Listed Animal which means it is threatened with extinction, and it is illegal to own/hunt/sell/trade that animal anywhere in the world without a special permit.

      That is 1 of the reasons why Sonny and B.E.F.R.S is my favourite channel on RUclips, not just favourite food channel, but favourite channel, full stop.
      He always is non-judgemental and sympathetic to the locals and their way of life, no matter how strange or unnatural it may seem to us. To them eating those foods or drinking goat blood is the same as us having fish and chips and drinking orange squash.

    I was born and bred in Ghana 🇬🇭 ...but i haven't eaten non of these bush meat before...All i know of is chicken, fish,beef,pork and goat....This video opened my eyes to things i never knew about my own country where i live...

    I adore how Sonny shows reality, asks the hard questions, but doesn't mock or condemn. He just shares the stories of the people, he teaches and learns, and tries his best to help where he can. I want you to know that I watch your videos to educate myself but also to help me keep from being a bleeding heart over all of the animals.     The Pangolin are critically endangered species globally. if you're found in possession of a Pangolin, you can face legal consequences, including fines, imprisonment, or both, depending on a country. But definitely, in South Africa, you will face imprisonment.

    Sonny, the settings will be like your next bucket of list country to visit. Papua New Guinea is more traditional in food preparation in different provinces.
    Western cultures have rule over our daily diets but we will applaud your visit.

    As a biracial Ghanaian-American, this series is beyond amazing. Trying to explain for years what my life was like living in Ghana for 3-4 months at a time was difficult. They assumed we lived like Tarzan. I wish these videos existed 20 years ago.

      Same Ghanaian and Hungarian that is a first gen American. All my american friends thought all Africans lived in huts lol. Had to show them my family in the cities of Ghana live like millionaires they have drivers, house servants, and cooks. Videos like this are great.

    I am originally from Johannesburg in South Africa and Antelope is not regarded as bush meat there. It is the same as deer etc ie game meat and is readily available in the major supermarket chains.

    while I understand its their culture, if an animal is endangered to the point of extinction, then you as a people need to make an exception and stop hunting it so that it can thrive and repopulate. Otherwise you see your culture die when you can't protect the basic things that give it life.

      Some people just do not understand why they should stop hunting endangered species. Mind you, these hunters hunt for a living and not for fun. This is why education is needed and the hunters introduced to alternative livelihoods.

    To me bush meat is nothing weird. Then again I live in South Africa and eating game meat is pretty normal for most people not living in the cities. Regulated or protected species should however be respected.

      It is illegal, bushmeat is mostly antelope and grass cutter, these days some people farm grasscutters
