Superb information. I am reminded of when I was a bricklayer apprentice, we would get, 'raspberries, from handling the blocks and bricks. Wholes is the tips of our fingers, until callaces formed. they were always painful. However, I have yet to have any pain from the Viola as of yet, other than my ears groaning from my squaking and squeeking HAHA :.)

Miss you!! Intermittent practice only a few days a week if that. Too much going on in my building and of course going crazy with mitigation. Trying& practicing left hand finger placement correctly. I find Schradieck scales the best for me to use to develop correct placement. also, trying Auer instruction to do this (in little dark book) , but it is soooooooooooo difficult. And fingers hurt even after only a couple minutes with this technique. Should practice this much more as he suggests, probably demands if one of his students. . Tho, i am hardly practicing. lost incentive, but I am sure that is only temporary. Auer books on hold for now, though I am practicing my own way of bow movements and do practice some of Auer from memory. Stay safe, well & beautiful!!

    Hello
I am lookingfor instruction about the low 1st finger, namely playing a C major scale on A and E strings.
And also general instruction about hand and fingers on higher positions like 10th on the violin and the viola.
Could you talk about it, or maybe you have something on the subject in you Patreon?
Ps: thank you, the video helps ))
