@@thatsleepybirbhelp i got 3 weeks of exam in a row we are not allowed to take a break
Aww man
Schools on the day of the “black hole”: okay class today we are learning about black holes!
"A black circle has been spotted in space..."
Wow, who would have thought
before i died i would just be like "oh s-"
To be fair... space is a litttle bit brighter than blackholes and black holes dose have some aura from all i know
@@SlaughterSplashonly if it's ate a star, then the *aura* is an accretion disk.
OH NO NOT A CIRCLE ANYTHING BUT A CIRCLE
@@SlaughterSplashI feel the bright accretion disk light years across might move it away.
The closest black hole is 1,560 light years away from us (9,170,655,577,200,000 miles or 14,758,744,095,234,570 kilometers) and the fastest black hole is 10% the speed of light (1,062,544 mph or 1,710,000 kph)
This means that even if a black hole was going towards us, it'd take 15,600 years to get to Earth.
Bad News: Black holes create laser-like gamma ray bursts, which can kill the Earth from very far away, but the only dangerous celestial object near us is Jupiter (more gas and it can turn into a brown dwarf). But we're safe, so sleep tight!
so i get to have a bloodline?

“Our broadcast has been hijacked by a group of unknown hackers. All information said is confirmed a hoax, and is not true. Authorities are currently working on finding out the identity of the group. We sincerely apologize for any panic caused by this fake announcement. - BBC
Think of how many heart attacks and s*icides would have already happened by then 💀💀 scary
The good ending
imagine the reactions of the people that were hugging, crying with their families, and trying to kill themselves
Why would that almost be scarier. At least I can imagine that happening.
"Say sike right now"

I love how the old alerts use the sadly passed away Queen Elizabeth instead of King Charles
The alert is in the 1994 format, in which year the Queen would have been 68.
A word of advice: these are a lot more believable if the dialogue actually comes from a government official. It has a very casual tone and there’s very little formality and it’s hard to take it seriously if it doesn’t sound like it’s real. It’s an interesting concept tho and I think it’s still better made than some EAS scenario vids
Nah if a black hole was coming no way any officials are staying for this fucking message💀
Also, it's "HIS Majesty's government" now.
@@Ben_the_Rosafan This took place in 1994 dummy.
@@Ben_the_Rosafanit says 1994, Queen Elizabeth II was the queen at the time. :)
Not only is it very formal but the grammar is shite.

While this is very scary to think about, the chances of earth getting sucked into a black hole is pretty much 0% even if a black hole entered our solar system, we would create a new orbit around the black hole, if it’s not extremely big. So if your scared that this will happen, DONT FEAR the black hole (if it’s tiny) will sustain a new orbit, you would be totally fine if we orbited one(except for the fact that you’ll freeze to death IF it replaced our sun.)
Yeah everyone assumes black holes just suck everything up but they are just extremely small stars (in most cases) in terms of mass
@@imposteramogus2167 Exactly, black holes aren't that dangerous. Unless, however, it's a supermassive black hole. Then pray for your life while you can because it's game over.
True. Onlu issue is that, if it is tiny, and we’ll sustain a new orbit around it, funny issue is that, since black holes amit ni loght (its kinda the thjng its known for) if it ejects us from the solar system, we will all freeze to death. Then again, i suppose thats less scary then beung sucked to death

"The entire of this planet" I'd expect the BBC to speak better English.
I mean if it's an EAS people actually type out the stuff and they have to do it as quick as possible so

@@thepotatocouchsimple: be british.
Hey guys what's up brits I'm irish and I could help ya
not-so-fun fact: a scenario like this could be possible as the universe and outer space is unpredictable, so we could be next to a black hole tens of thousands of times bigger than TON-618 and we wouldn’t even know. there wouldn’t even be an announcement or warning for it. we’d be gone. just like that. there wouldn’t be a trace of humanity left.
why did you give me an exisential crisis
You are just a ray of sunshine, aren't you?
the only thing that would be left of humanity, is like the voyager 1 or something
im pretty sure if there was a black hole several times the size of TON 618 next to the solar system we would know
@@bismuthdistrict TON-618 is BALLS big. if there was anything larger it’d probably be undetected until side effects of having a gargantuan black hole next to your solar system start to become visible. either that or im just being unrealistic. idk.
Luckily, we'd know about any black holes long ahead of time. They're strong enough that their gravitational pull would be noticed by astronomers

I dunno how a black hole alert could be so chilly ✌🪐
What I don’t get is why an ‘official broadcast’ would tell you to commit suicide in the least formal way possible
It's England.
Because it's some guy trying to type it out as much as possible, since in this scenario they didn't have a recorded version of this
@kiedisboughen5318 or they could say "knife" instead of "sharp razor object"
If it was any more formal or detailed the video would get taken down for... reasons

Nice job on this, its a good starting point.
Eight billion of us dying all at once, that's an administrative nightmare for heaven and hell.
Nahhh they will just tell us all to form an orderley queue. Get a number from the ticket machine. I hope they have WiFi.
Well, this was equal parts scary and depressing.
Though the remark about everyone having a dignified death struck me as very British...
I'm pretty sure the black hole event is instant therefore painless. Wait for that over slitting your throat.
Nah it will be very very painful
No I think ssj2matt is right, they said maybe a second, while slitting your throat can hurt you for a while, especially if you do not know how to.
if Saggitarius A* went rogue, we would be sucked in and die a painless death, if, i dunno, the Centauri's went black hole we would be spaghettified and be ripped apart.
that "instant" would be lifetimes as black holes distort time and space, all while each limb is being stretched miles
@@nono-sg7zv I would rather commit reset character with my friends with me as I do not want to be ripped apart and spaghettified
This happened the year I was born. Oh crap…did my birth do that?? Did I destroy all of existence?? Oops! 😅

The fact that this is entirely possible is just terrifying
It’s not unless it’s (extremely likely to be) a supermassive black hole. If not then we would just adjust and have it be a part of our orbit system. Only way it could be bad if it replaced the suns orbit for us

The chilling part about this is not dying from a black hole. It won't happen. But the fact that everything we have done, every part of our history. Every inch of us, gone. (except for voyager1-2 and other probes)
I'm surprised there are not many people noticing the ratio isn't 4:3. And there could've also been a message about the final signoff and cease of other stations' programming. Totally didn't expect a suicide guide here, but there's no point in asking anyone to refuse illegal actions since the death of all life would be inevitable.
Of course cartman would like something that sucks
