All I can. say is WOW! I love the fact that you are meticulous on purpose without being overwhelming in explaining what your're doing and why. No one can ever accuse you of being selfish with sharing the wealth of knowledge you have. Watching your tutorial I felt like a first year med student watching a top surgeon performing open heart surgery. You kill it bro. Thanks a million, literally!
Been watching your channel for about 2 years, was wondering if you would do something in this genre. Your sound selection and simplicity is next level. You’re a true pro. Cuttin’ headz or hottrax would both be great to see in the future. Thank you sir, keep it up. 🔥❤️
You're the best producer/youtuber out there. I love you bro. Your videos genuinely inspire me to sit down seriously and take my time making every part of the track perfect. You're amazing dude. Thanks a lot for putting the time and effort into your videos and at the end of every video, the track is always perfect in terms of quality, mix and arrangement. Your tutorials are out of this world.
Very well done, you explain every step of the creative and practical process very clearly. One of the best creators on RUclips. Would love to see you do one of these for a label like Sola!
Amazing tutorial, so clear and well put together. Please do a Sakro style track next. Cant find any tutorials for this style, something about the simplistic chicago esk style that is so hard to really nail.
Any chance you think you would be able to do a cloonee/hellbent style tutorial?? Been really trying to achieve that sound and it’s been a bit challenging
Incredibly well articulated content brother, learning tons! Quick question, is there another way to achieve that gate effect on the vocals that you did when using the LFO tool? 🙏
Yeah, you could use a Gate with a sidechain trigger or you could bounce to audio then use club gain automation and draw in the grating. There are probably other ways too.
Wow, mate. I must say: you are one of the tutors on the net who actually give the deepest insights into how their music is made! Thanks a whole bunch for that! What still bugs me though is I would really like to know how those kick drums are _actually_ made - not from samples, but from the very source in the beginning of the chain since I feel that this is still one of the most close kept secrets in the industry (understandably so).. Would you agree to that? Cheers, and thanks a lot again :)
Hey bro, glad you like the video. I really take the approach that the end result is what's most important and the method of getting there is quite secondary. I'm no master of sound design and I don't think I could teach you to make any kick you want from scratch. But, I can tell you a few things with absolute certainty about the kick drums... 1. Less than 1% of the producers making great records are creating their own kicks from scratch. 2. Most top producers are using kick drums from a sample pack or by sampling them like I did here. 3. The knowledge you are looking for won't make your music better than if you use kicks from a sample pack.
@@dilbydj That's what I think, too. Yet I'd say that there are a hand full of artists who can be recognized by the style of their kickdrums already (Enrico Sangiuliano being one of them I'd say). Also I kinda like when things start to come together and a kick drum starts to feel punchy. Then again, you're absolutely right, the distinction has to be made: do you want to make music or do you want to design sounds.. Anyway, as always very informative stuff from you! Thanks a lot :)
@@dilbydj Oh yeah, but I gotta add one thing: I'm sure there is more than one way. But getting into designing my own kick drums trained my hearing a lot! Especially when it comes to bass frequencies this is actually helpful since it taught me to listen very closely. This is at least one benefit out of this endeavor (aside from the fun :) ).
@@DelasVC that I can completely agree with. There is a pretty amazing sound design tutorial application called Syntorial that I can recommend. Super helpful for understanding synthesis. It starts out extremely basic but gets really difficult and advanced.I never actually completed it myself, I gave up eventually, but a friend that has said he can pretty much recreate any synth sound now
@@dilbydj Sounds very interesting, certainly gonna check it out! Regarding synthesis: do you like to synthesize your own sounds or do you also use sounds from packs, also bass sounds for example?
hey Friend!!! I try to find a tutorial that you made and show an a break section effect that do you use redux and something else. did you remember wich is the tutorail name??
did you master and mix yourself. the final sounds so polished and loud? how you achieve this. my tracks sounds cool but i never ever want too put it loud i dont know why. it sounds not pleasant to the ear or whole. can you explain ? i think also the elements you use are not that special but enough. It is the way you have mixed it that makes it pop right ?
Yeah bro, all done myself. There really isn't that much crazy stuff going on mix and master wise. Most of it comes down to selecting sounds that work well together and get the volume balanced.
@@tunerterroryeah, referencing is important. I didn't on this. I do quite a bit of mixing for people and maybe 25% is tech house, so I am familiar with what is required. But I always ask my clients to send references so I can hear an idea of what they're looking for.

I also love your tutorials and would also like Cuttin Headz and Hottrax as well as No Art tutorials in the future
Best tutorials in the game right now!! Love you Dilby I watch all your videos while eating just for pure knowledge filled entertainment!! 🤣
Glad you like them!

more in this style pls!! so helpfull🙌🏽
Let's see 😉
How did you setup that time parameter in the MIDI Effect Rack to automate in the the arpeggiator?
Dilby always keeps it 100%
Very helpful. thank you!!
Thats 🔥
Definetly watching it later when I get home
Nice one ✌️
Outstanding video
Glad you liked it

Thanks for the visit

Glad you liked the video. Honestly never heard of Sakro... 🤷♂️
simple and awesome as allways, thanks man
My pleasure!
Is there a plugin that can create this effect because I use FL Studio... 😥 19:58
Lfo tool that does the gate effect is a plugin.
For the time stretch effect, Google how to do it in FL.
@@dilbydj thsnk you
Great as always Dilby. Thanks!
No problem 👍
Shoutout vengeance packs🙌🏼

Another amazing video man. Very to the point and some unreal tips that I cant wait to try out.
Glad to hear it!
Super Dilby 👊🏼
Hi your content is awesome I’m learning a lot. Could you please do techno (peak time / driving) like Drumcode style. Thanks
Not really my wheelhouse, but you never know...

A 2012 hot creations style tutorial would be amazing. I still love that sound.
Good idea 💡
Yesss I totally agree, early 2010s minimal deep house is so unique and underappreciated
The reference track/bassline here is Lower Frequency by Denney. I think it was a 2013 track or so??
Great video! Curious which MPC groove you used in this
MPC 16 - 57%
@@dilbydj Thanks!
Maybe you can do a tutorial on how to do minimal tech house like Mochakk or PAWSA

How is the track still in same bpm with the warp turned on and the bpm set to 496. In my ableton it is stretching out the vocal. please help
@@siddharthguleria7662 maybe the project is set to 496bpm and the track is warped at 496bpm as well?
@ hey! there was some error with loop selection. now it’s working. thank you so much. have learnt a lot from this channel 🙌 you’re the pro
Can you teach this bass in Serum for non Ableton users please Dilby :D
Watch the part about the synthesis. It's a very uncomplicated patch and should be pretty easy to replicate in Serum. Let me know how you get on.
Did you put autotune on your voice? 😂 Very good Video as always anyway! ❤️
Haha, I was trying out an AI voice processing thing for podcasts. I guess there were a few artefacts from that.
Yoo release this track 🔥💽
Shits hot
the question is why you wana do that
Don't really understand the question to be honest with you mate ✌️
