    Another great upload. In my opinion, you have the best PNW mushroom foraging YT channel.
    Im selling my house and property in Oklahoma and heading up there to live a part of the year in my rv so I've been consuming as much information as possible re foraging and fishing in the PNW.
    You guys have such a wide variety more of mushrooms than we do. Here I've only found blonde morels, golden chanterelles, oyster, coral, black trumpet, COW, hen of the woods, puffballs, wood ear and LBM .
    I cannot wait to dive into the PNW's world of fungi. Thanks for the outstanding content!

    Wife & I joined psms because of all the fungus we would find fishing & backpacking around the lakes in that area. Now we pack a lot less food because we pick it up on the hike & if we don't catch fish we don't worry we just go for a walk & usually find something we are totally confident to eat even whille alone in the mountains, I used to be terrified we would poison ourselves & be found dead.

    The bear’s head was so cool. I was wondering how to harvest it - so was interesting to see you can just pluck it. And the bee’s nest - didn’t know they’re in the ground like that. Good to know. Poor Gunner.

    Super cool. I would love to make my way up to Washington to do a decent mushroom hunt. Down here in Oregon things are starting to pop off right now because of the late summer rains. I’m going out today to see what I can find. I’m expecting to find chanterelles at least. It would be great to find some porcini. Thanks for the great vids!

      Haha, nope😂 This is twice in the last month that he stepped in a bee's nest. Luckily they have a hard time getting through his hair. He did get stung a couple times though and he wasn't happy.

    I ate angel wings once and it was not a good time. I had explosive diarrhea for a few hours and my entire body was very hot. It was over in about 12 hours and the onset took about 5-7 hours but it was a bad time.

    Hey Aaron, do you think your proximity to the ocean effects the mushroom growths? I live and forage on Mt.Hood and don't find nearly the variety or abundance of species that you do. 🤷‍♂

    • @mushroomwonderland1
      @mushroomwonderland1  Год назад

      Well, in this instance, I was up in the mountains near Snoqualmie pass. Quite a ways from the ocean. The elevation with cooler temperatures and heavier rainfall are why I'm seeing all these mushrooms. Now that the rains have hit the lowlands it's only a matter of time before even at sea level there are this many mushrooms. Sometimes you have to go to where the mushrooms are. If you went uphill you would find more!
