Kenny could play a guitar fifty years and never put a pick scratch on it! He’s so smooth and effortless. Plays so gentle yet gets all the tone a guitar has!
Thank you Kenny for sharing such a fine sounding guitar and, as always, thank you for reminding me why you are my favorite acoustic player on the planet.
That old Martin sounds incredible and the player is a master at finding all the right notes, Kenny is one of my favorites, his style of playing is inspiring, makes me want to play better every time I pick up a guitar, Kenny one of the best, THANKS for sharing.
Beautiful guitar in all ways, especially in the hands of a master at his profession! The notes are so soft and round in this demo, but I'm sure it can be beast if needed... Kenny knows how to pull the tone out of an instrument for sure and has taught me a lot about how to do that.
I concur with other comments here that sing the praises of the instrument and the musician. Beautiful instrument, smooth, tasty playing. Thank you Gary for sharing that gem of a guitar, and thank you Kenny for helping it sing.
@kennysmithguitar447 If I may ask, do you use the same EJ-22 on these old rosewoods, or something else? Also, what pick are you using these days? Thanks.
Leather Britches with the A string tuned down to G...that's a new approach to me...reckon I'll put in some time messing with that. Whatta dreadnaught!!
Wouldn't call Kenny Smith mediocre and also I think it's the other way around...a holy grail guitar in the hands of someone who doesn't know how to use it is tragic.
Man, I could listen to Kenny play guitar solo all day long... what a gem he is..!
so good

My dad is born in 1934 and also still here and alive.

Great sounding guitar.
Just to add to my comment about Kenny's playing... I do really enjoy listening to your picking as well.
Gary said it. First class. What a blessing and incredible opportunity to experience this guitar! Great video Kenny!

That guitar is a beast.. played it several times..
Great playing, fantastic sound.
Amazing! I love anything you share Kenny and hearing you play, but I sure love hearing and seeing old guitars that we don’t get to see that much.
incredible touch!
Nice, round sounding, and super powerful.
WOW!
What great player! Amazing Martin!
Love this!

I have a 1937 Martin D28 Authentic. It sounds good too.😊 even mistakes sound better😅
There's something about those old martins, no surprise but it's true.
Incredible tone.. huge sound.. Kenny did this have light or medium strings? What flat pick and thickness were you using?
great

Kenny can make a $300 Yamaha sound great!
I'll take two. Don't bother to wrap 'em.
Kenny...what strings you playing on that baby in the recording?
Put a pre- war 'bone in the hands of a master, this is what you get. Otherwordly!
That’s how a good deal works pay for it and get out of there!
Just goes to show that a great guitar can make even a mediocre player sound good.
