Great work! sad its not very well known. its absolutely horrifying twist on such an innocent children's boook. the cheshire cats voice actor needs a nobel.
Maybe it's just because I'm such a fan of these games but I remember it being EXTREMELY well known amongst indie players and my friends ^.^ and Roger Jackson portrayed Cheshire so perfectly that he was sought out for the second game over 10 years later!! Keith Davis also did an unrelated version of Cheshire Cat that was pretty amazing
Honestly, I doubt it. American McGee has been running his Patreon for the 3rd Alice game for a long time now and doesn't seem to have made much progress in terms of getting large-scale developer or publisher support for the game. Plus a lot of people were disappointed with "Alice: Otherlands" which is the last thing he officially released with the IP. I'd love if they remastered this game but I just don't think the demand is big enough for any studio to undertake the project unfortunately
Apparently an HD version exists on the pc version of Madness returns that was exclusive to the ea origins launcher before it was delisted. However, there seems to be ways to get it running on steam by modifying a .ini file and owning a copy of the original since all the data is still there. There might even be a way around owning the original. I haven't tried it myself yet.
"and she had done more than that, she knew... she had saved herself as well" sad that she has to save herself again in madness returns but still, she still gets her happy ending
@@eventsnapgaming you’re wrong. It’s not the original release, it has the models and textures from the 2011 “remastered” release, bundled with Madness Returns Complete Collection. Characters and some other things look different in the original release. This is easy to tell, for example, by the appearance of Alice or the Cheshire Cat. In fact, I prefer this to the original release. What really pisses me off is that if you search for information about American Mcgee’s Alice HD remaster, you’ll most likely stumble upon some unofficial mods (and usually ugly ones at that), rather than information about the actual official 2011 remaster and its differences from the original. If you wish, I can share with you a version that has both the original models and the “remastered” from 2011 to choose from; both the original game version (with console, the Cheshire Help button, etc.) and the 2011 “remaster” (with widescreen support, controller support, etc.)

The Pool of Tears leaf boat sequence made me rage so much i hated that part but at least the song during the sequence was a bop
fr, after I completed it I had to take a break for a second
LITERALLY it took me atleast 2 hours to complete the first time i did it i was suffering
Hmm curiouser and curiouser I don’t know why but the American McGee Alices and Alice madness returns kind of remind me of epic Mickey 1 and 2
Whimsically dark and magical I assume?
Great editting
You think they'll make a remastered version of this?

I hope Aspyr will
you don't want them to - it will be ruined like everything else

OMG! Yessss!!!
The Jabberwocky is one of the most badass villains. Such a cool design.
I liked this better than the second one for some reason.
Better than the boss from madness returns
The lack of bosses is Madness Returns's single biggest flaw imo
God damn this game's actual gameplay might be completely non-functional at points but if it isn't SUCH a treat for the eyes
Man i wish i could play this game😞
Skool haha nice
I think David Lynch would have liked this game.
When I downloaded the newly reshaded 2022 PC version it runs terribly and the characters dont even talk
@@Kassiamacdonald I don't think that's the one I found, it was just the original release
