Most slept on Homme track OF. ALL. TIME.
Just coming back to it after 5 years. October of 2019 seems like 50... banging track
I do love era vulgaris 2.
Robot Rock 2.0
Fuck yeah
You do know robotic lunch came out well before era vulgaris? On a desert sessions...
@@stephenhargrave7922 "well acktually"
Back in the Desert and happy as can be
Arrivederci Despair indeed.

This is like a mix between I'm Designer and Feet Don't Fail Me
Lullabies on Vulgaris
An Era to Paralize
Galileo Rocha Cuevas that sounds badass
I don’t that at all
@@startervisions Ehm, Villains Vulgaris, no?
Some people is complaining about Claypool's bass on this project, like:"he is unrecognizable here", "isn't his bass sound"... Etc.
Well, i agree that it's not his signature "funky-virtuoso-slappy " sound, but if you listen carefully the bass line you'll really appreciate his amazing "shadowy" work: those little jumps in every bar during the verses gives them an extra "bounce", or that amazing lines during the guitar solos, specially the second solo with those superb stop-and-go with the drums, before josh start singin' again.
He is a clever cat. He knew and knows how to serve properly every kind of music project he is involved with!
@The Lonely Traveller It says: Josh - "some bass" Les - "bass"
Terry Gunnell Claypool didn't played on this track
just letting Les hold a bass for a project makes it great, like if people would be better than him anyway xD
@@pepe7drum Les did play bass on this track. This song is multiple songs they recorded put together. The no emotion part is an entirely different song and is what Josh plays bass on.
God dammit ginger elvis, you did it again. Love everything this man touches
Jason dude ginger elvis lost son of louise van gaal 😁.. josh is awesome!!
Maan, this is so fresh! Joshua still in the game.
Josh’s part starting at 4:10 is like “Interlude With Ludes” 2.0 and I love it.
Isn't Interlude With Ludes already I'm Designer 2.0?
Yup
Felix Morrissey I don’t think so, personally. Staccato electric guitar and vocals vs floaty, oscillating synth and vocals.
Also the mention of bleeding elephants seems like a lyrical allusion to TCV's Elephants
@@LardBucket_ Good catch. And even better timing; TCV released 10 years ago today.
Lyrics:
I woke up this morning, would you believe it?
At long last the rain was finally gone
I just know the moment has come, I can feel it
Nothing but blue skies from here to God
[Chorus]
No more worries, baby
(No more worries)
Sayonara despair
(Goodbye despair)
[Interlude]
Ever gonna set it free?
Become what you ought to be?
When you gonna get it right?
Boy, you better live your life
Ever gonna set it free?
Become what you ought to be?
When you gonna get it right?
Boy, you better live your life
Ever gonna set it free?
Become what you ought to be?
[Verse 2]
Gonna have our noses in roses forever
Everybody's just, kind and fair
Every paper said and I quote
"Do believe it, all the news is good everywhere"
[Chorus]
No more worries, baby
(No more worries)
Arrivederci despair
(Goodbye despair)
[Bridge]
(No emotion)
(No emotion)
(No emotion)
(No emotion)
(No emotion)
Say, I'm not a toy that you can play with, dear
Though the sound is appealing
You're just a fly buzzing in my ear
As I'm dancing on the ceilin'
Elephants are crumbling down the bedroom door
And I can't stop them bleeding
You think you hit me with the kitchen sink?
There just ain't nothing here for stealing
God only knows just what I'm doing here
Babe, nobody knows
You think you taught me a lesson, babe
And think you "got through to me"
No one gets through anymore
Right
his divorce is all here... ive just listened the albums from l2p
@@RafaCoringaProducoes Yes! It should have been on ITNR! it IS ALL THERE!
Yes! In my ears! Right now!!!
Loving the Era Vulgaris feel. It's like stepping into a time machine.
CitizenErased 17 The drum groove makes me think of Lullabies to Paralyze and Like Clockwork. Really feelin a synthesis of QoTSA
More like stepping into a *Fun Machine*
LTP feel!
Love the change at 1:37 :)
Gives me fucking chills
Yes!
I think they erased the post from the guy that said it was sounding like an Artic Monkeys riff. Dunno why they would censore this??
@@joueurmecontent8632 Dude, I said that twice, deleted twice...mystery...it sucks.
Which song?
Josh Homme has done more for rock music than anyone else has over the past 20 years. The only other person you could make a case for is Dave Grohl.
And maybe Jack White lol but that’s it
@@davidmckee586 Jack White all the way, Dave's most important work in the last 20 years was collabs with Homme
@@ekmschaefchen Personally, I'd love to see a collab between Jack White, Dave Grohl and Josh Homme. That'd be fucking killer
@@franciscobaltazarlabranago6248 🙏🙏🙏
Josh is one of my favorite musicians of all time, but I don't know if I would say he's done the most for rock in the last twenty years. I'd probably give that title to someone like Chester Bennington. Whether you like Linkin Park or not, it's hard to say they haven't had the biggest influence on where rock has gone over the past two decades.
holy shit this is good
Yeah this is my favorite tune so far.
Was hoping Les would bring some crazy slap to this album, but after listening for a while can definitely appreciate the bass line of this track and his others. Seems like he is always perfectly filling in gaps and placing notes exactly where they need to be.
This song and Crucifire are my favorite by far, but there are a couple more good tunes
every tiem i hear joshua's voice its like pure bliss that melts my ear drums, because full volume was meant for winners.
Lsd sand and arid heat brings out the best in people apparently
So this is where the gold is ! Solid Gold tune Mr. Homme !
Now only freedom and reason to find.
This old chef loves this....there is ALWAYS good music playing in my kitchen...good moods make good foods!!! Im also a musician...but being a chef pays the bills. Joshua Homme, I can't thank you enough ALOT of whats played in our kitchen is one of the myriad of projects you are part of....🖤
This is magic alright.
A wizard did it.
loving everything about these sessions
Les Claypool should be in next iteration of Them Crooked Vultures, he would fill in JPJ's shoes quite nicely.
I missed me some snazzy Queens Of The Stone Age, top shelf my dudes.
I’m diggin the ultra mid 70s/Era Vulgaris vibes👌
Todo el disco suena a un B-side de Era vulgaris. Buena vibra¡¡
whatever Homme touches becomes pure gold....that man is incredible
So that’s where QOTSA went
I love the animations.
yes Josh you done it again. now its time to work on a new qotsa album please :P
Levente Deli and make it loud af
Man...this is one of the best "qotsa old- style" songs that josh wrote in the last fifteen years. It's amazing
Nah. New TCV album, and only then, new QOTSA release
Wouldn’t mind some Them Crooked Vultures too :)
TCV definitely. And if JPJ can't make it, Les Claypool would make a fantastic replacement.
It's like Christmas!!
Best from the album
Major Era vulgaris vibe this..love it!!
Josh and friends , really great tune , hope you all had a blast making it, hopefully a tour happens
Sounds like Homme and crew were riding horses out in the desert. Than going into town causing havoc and kicking ass. Finally back on horses riding through the sunset 🤘
This man just keeps on giving long may his music last fucking rock legend
its hard to recall any other musicans even in the past that contributed so much in music.
@@Levente20 the album he done with Iggy Pop Post pop Depression is excellent the song Sunday is amazing there is a live version on a programme called Later with Jooles Holland its fucking brilliant
Most bands get worse with times. Not Queens of the Stone Age! Consistent amazingness!
Best one so far
it saved my year .
New,awesome directions every time. I feel like I'm on peyote trip in the desert.
This is one of Homme’s best riffs ever written.
it reminds me of feet dont fail me
@@grimg0r he does remix and reuses alot of old riffs its great.
And one of the best vocal melody too!
@@ShadowWolf936 yes this reminds me of classic desert session remixes like make it wit chu
The vocal in this song is incredibly fuckin' awesome!
Oh my gosh the guitar and bass tones are fucking godly.
Gorgeous. Beautiful. Sublime. Exquisite. I dunno, anyone got any other descriptions for this....THIS...THIS?
My favorite!!!
Love it.. Need more Desert Sessions
Such a great tune
Damn, first thing I've listened to in awhile that's not tool, and still pulls its weight, this album is sick all around
its sick. Love it . Josh has done it again. amazing variation and sound
Best song of the album
Era vulgaris vibes right here and right now lovin it.
absolutely perfect, from intro to outro
Can you feel the magic?
I need to put this on & go for a ride in the mountains.
love you Josh! you save my day
This is the glorious, transcendent mess that results when folks from QOTSA, ZZ Top, Primus, Chavez, and Warpaint join forces. So good.
These songs are all awesome and make me want to dance. Too bad we may never get to hear these amazing songs live on tour
David Metzger they literally have a world tour coming up. Check desertsessions.com.

Que tremendo tema, ojalá vuelva el colorado a Argentina!

CRAZY STUFF!
I'm still smelling the roses 👌
He can really move his right leg.... Left leg, not so much.
I love it.
Gimmie da desert sessions
Era mixed with vultures and villains
100 percent, but with early vibes of QOTSA and Desert Sessions. It's like they've been mixed and come out differently. It's a perfect synthesis for now.
@@DarlingPhenylethylamine i hear early era desert sessions (ben shepherd) mixed with wellwater conspiracy (matt cameron and john mcbain) in josh's guitar playing on this album
I'm glad Josh sounds good here. His vocals are like mid 2000's Josh. Hes been sounding horrible lately live.
@@steses Is it just me or is there a Distillers vibe on 'Crucifire'? Usually hear QOTSA in Brody Dalle's sound, but not so much the other way around, at least not enough to notice.
Sometimes you need to listen again to confirm to yourself... It's undeniable; Distillers punk rock sound on 'Crucifire'.
I love this song😍👌🎵🎶🎙
love you Josh 🤘🏻🍻
Does nobody else hear the influence of the Eagles song Life in the Fast Lane? Everytime I hear that song at work I think of this song.
Josh, man, tune... respect bro... Thanks God i have had a chance to see you live in 2013 Wembley Arena with QOTSA...all the best m8
This right now is my favorite song on the album
This is a total romper!
Yeeeaaah, that's the stuff
Que regalo para cumpleaños! 💯
I think this and If You Run are my current favorites.
Era experience)
Classic Queens
Hellz yah! I'd love of Jack White collab
Well played sir
This is so groovy
Favorite on this album. The No Emotion bridge comes like a Bee Thousand (Guided By Voices album) surprise that I love.
Yes!!!!
Bo Diddly..dig it.the dude in effect+
Its so dry you can taste dirt in your mouth, fucking lovin it guys, you accomplished the desert mission
cool!!!!
the descriptions in these songs are just pure comedy
