Whether poor, middle or rich, God sent his son Jesus to die on the Cross for their sins. Jesus loved us so much that he was willing pay a price that no human being(rich included)can pay on their own. We all deserve to burn in Hell for our sins. And no one is good enough to go to Heaven on their own. This idea that a person can go to Heaven based off good works/merit is a lie taught in Catholicism and other religions. Believe in Jesus Christ and what he did on the Cross for your sins and you will be saved.
I also like to add vinegar to my rice porridge (known in Philippines as arroz caldo or lugaw) especially if garnished with fried tofu and crispy pork chopped into small cubes. Also very good with more than one kalamansi😉. That pancit palabok is one of the many varieties of pancit (noodle) dishes we have. Palabok sauce is rich in shrimp flavor, sometimes they garnish with shredded anchovies. Yum yum. That turon is a favorite afternoon snack (merienda). If what you tried didn't have jackfruit, then you must go on the hunt for turon with jackfruit and try it with in combination with ube ice cream 😋🍜🍴🥣
Oo nice! Thanks for all the good advice 🤩 Crispy chopped pork is really nice! We tried that in Divisoria market. Our Turon was banana, gotta try jackfruit!
@lostandjetlagged Turon always made with ripe banana but the ones with added jackfruit (langka) are even better AND if eaten with ube ice cream even betterest 🤣 😋😛🤩
Your good guys you keep exploring Filipino street food and carinderia it's so cheaper out there compare to brand restaurant and the food was delicious you can living in the Philippines in comportable life like locals without having big spendces
Hello our good friend, there ae lots of beautiful places you can find outside Manila, beaches in Batangas in the south near Manila or in La Union north of Manila or in Pampanga and Subic. Also Baguio city the summer capital of the Philippines north of Manila. You just need to find Bus terminals in Cubao Quezon city, Victory Bus Liner going to Bsguio city, you can ask Filipinos for directions. Try first explore the Ortigas center in Manila and go to Shang-rila Mall and Hotel in Mandaluyong, then beside is the SM Megamall 2nd biggest mall next to SM Mall of Asia then at the back is the futuristic The Podium Mall, also near are the huge Ayala Mall and the Robinson's Mall in just one area in Ortigas. And also go to Araneta City in Cubao Quezon City, then Eastwood City in Libis and the Alabang Town Center beautiful places to explore. Enjoy exploring . Please stay in the Philippines and grow your channel 👍💖🙏😇😊
Your porridge already has enough sourness from the calamansi so no need to add vinegar. We add a little soy or fish sauce into our porridge. But of course it's up to your likings 😊. The banana dessert in a lumpia wrapper is called turon.
The crushed crispy pork on top of the Arroz Caldo (porridge) is called Chicharon which we also eat by itself as a snack (like chips). Arroz Caldo has ginger so it's really nice to eat too when you're sick and don't have much of an appetite. Turon is a very common banana snack here along with Banana-Q. Both have caramelized sugar. Jollibee has palabok too on their menu. Tapsilogan is the eatery where they specialize in Tapsilog. Tapsilog is short for Tapa (the marinated beef) Sinangag (garlic rice) and Itlog (egg). You should also try Tosilog which has Tocino, a sweetened pork. Very good too. :)
Sorry, your comment went in the spam folder for some reason, we didn't see it until now. Thank you so much for the explanation and recommendations. There is so much delicious food to explore in Philippines. I already saw I got fatter 😂
@@lostandjetlagged don't eat much chicharon though ... your cardiologist will get angry. it's fried pork fat so not very heart friendly. sadly, as with many things in life, the really good ones are usually bad for you haha! I hope you enjoyed your stay!
I always find it so cool seeing foreign food places in other countries because the love of foreign food is one of the few things that stays the same with the food culture no matter what country you're in haha. I especially like when they aren't fully faithful to the actual culture they get the food from because it's so neat seeing how other cultures modify foods. I know what Americanized foods are like, but I don't know what it's like in other countries until I see it. Although visually to me the ramen looks pretty traditional, but then again ramen is so heavily customizable that it's hard to say what is and isn't traditional ramen... Plus I'm not japanese lol
Those are aren't even Filipino foods ramen is from japan! You should asked if they have mammy ! The Filipino noodle, its a good thing you tried LUGAW (street poridge), TAPSILOG and PALABOK these are the Filipino foods! Tapsilog is a short term fro TAP-TAPa(PART OF BEEF), SI-SIna'ngag(FRIED RICE), LOG-itLOG(EGG).
It's nice that you interact with locals. Yes, Filipinos are friendly whether poor, middle or rich = foreigners have the same treatment.
Indeed! Filipinos are SUPER friendly 🤩 So Interactive
