The death of my son, addiction of loved ones leading up to death, and divorce of a 27 year marriage was devastating, yet I have hope with the atonement of Jesus Christ. While I'm here on this earth I have time to complete my eternal family, praying all along for the ability of keeping on the narrow path necessary to complete this life in this world. Burdens are blessings given to me to teach me lessons otherwise not learned. I pray I have the full armour of heavenly father to endure to the end.
Every Sunday I watch a church video and it seems they hit me in my soul. This one definitely did. I am confused and feel tired of some of life's situations. I know God is there. Maybe I'll be completely happy 1 day.

Hi Lonnie, If you choose to investigate the LDS Church, you will have a greatly expanded understanding of the Atonement of the Saviour. You will more fully understand the purposes of life; “Where we came from?,” “Why we’re here?,” and “Where we’re going after this life?” You will also gain greater faith, hope, and charity as you study from the “Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ.” As an expression of that charity, you will be taught about the purposes of “temples,” and how you can perform sacred ordinances on behalf of your deceased ancestors. Investigators are also encouraged to retain the truths that they already possess. But as you study and apply what you are taught, your faith and trust in Jesus Christ will grow, and you will feel His love for you more intimately. With advances in communication technology, there are many things competing for your attention. The forces of evil are expanding throughout the world. But through the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ, you will be given greater strength to resist those evils, and be given greater power to discern between truth and error. May the Lord bless you exceedingly, as you courageously seek the important truths available to you through the LDS Church!
Lonnie, you have to come to the truth yourself but I share with you my witness that this is Christ’s one and only true church on the face of the earth. The Savior you love and worship stands at the head of His organization, The Church of Jesus Christ. It’s called the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to distinguish between the organization he set up when he was on the earth during his mortal ministry with Peter, James and John. Otherwise it’s the same church operating under His direction today, just in the latter-days before his long awaited promised return. We have a modern day “Peter, James and John” if you will and other apostles that have been given the divine authority to administer Christ church on the earth. As you know Jesus Christ is the way to eternal life. He is the only way. IF he truly did set up his church and authority on the earth, right now, in our day wouldn’t you want to know? Wouldn’t you want to be baptized by someone who is authorized by Christ to perform baptisms? It’s real. That is my testimony to you. There’s real power, organized by the Master of it all. You are His. He knows you and loves you! This you have already come to know. I implore you to seek with an honest heart your own witness by study and by faith. Many people have sought for Christ’s true Church through out time. It’s here! Ask for the LDS missionaries to meet with you and expound on what I’ve said about this being HIS (Jesus Christ’s) church. HE is the way to eternal life.
It is a great blessing to believe in The Lord and Creator Jesus Christ, if you believe in The Great Lord and Redemer, ask GOD THE ETERNAL FATHER, IN THE NAME OF HIS SON ,THE SAME QUESTION
This might be broad sided.. I'm a baptized LDS member, haven't practiced in years, struggled though addiction (I'm still struggling),have had doubt in the Lord's plan, and have felt abandoned in the world.. I went to church last weekend and I don't feel like I have the true feeling of the holy ghost in my life.. am I wrong?
Your body is the Temple of the Lord and he cannot reside in unholy places. Keeping to God so u can over come your addiction so he may reside in you once again.
It’s hard to recognize the Holy Ghost, but if you are praying for the chance to recognize him and if your desires are true, you will be able to feel him again. That promise is that we seek. Seeking is a lot more than causally looking, we really need to search and try to find it in our lives. I wish you luck and hope that you can make it back
I would read the scriptures. All of them. Learn about the Savior from them. Pray. Pray often. Ask for strength and a feeling of peace. Ask for the Holy Ghost to be with you. Do nothing to offend the Holy Ghost. You can find peace. You will.

Keep seeking answers through prayer and scripture study. UnForgiveness can create blocks to feeling the Spirit. Just my opinion. God bless you.
