Thai are unique. It’s enchanting how they look after each other. Been here 25 years and I don’t understand one iota more about Thai culture than when i first came. All I know is it’s the most special place.
Somethings you have to be Thai to understand its plain and simple ..
@@UTCM You are right. Thai here!
It's funny about the flip-flop sound, I thought you had a walking stick. LOL That is the only time I heard it so I figure it must have been the microphone. I enjoy all your videos and the stories you tell so keep up the great videos and take care of yourself.
Thank you !!!! Dont carry a stick just a camera !!!
I am a multi-year viewer of your vlog. I live in Round Rock, Texas, 84 years old, IBM retiree and watch you on my IPad. I send you a message on occasion. My 55 year old son also lives in Texas who married a Thai lady who was born and raised in Chiang Mai. She watches you also. Happy your health is returning. Keep up the good work.

Watching from Maine USA. :) With all that's going on in the world you would think people had more important things to complain about than your footwear. In all honesty I am usually too busy enjoying the content to notice any noise from your feet. I appreciate the work you do to bring these videos to the world. Thank you and please keep up the good work. Great to see you back on your feet and enjoying life again. Stay healthy and safe. :)

Hard to believe someone would complain about your flipflops - imagine watching a video of someone riding a horse and not hearing the hooves go clickty-clack. It would be weird 5555.
I can see where it could be annoying

I like your stories....I am a retired American /serviceman living in Bangkok... I first came to Thailand early in my 24 year USCG career...July 4 1972...I stayed in Bangkok for a week or so... than on up to Lampang (actually Ban Hang Chat) to our USCG LORAN STATION (navigation site in support of our troops in the Vietnam conflict)...1972 to 1973..than again in 1974 to 1975...Cheers...Oh...I built a house out in Ban Tum Gow ( Ampur Chea Hom) also back in 1974 for my exes mother..
You have seen a lot of changes then over the years .... We still have those posts here but now they are for something different
Watching from Scarborough North Yorkshire UK on Apple iPad

Watching all the way from San Pa Tong - by phone....
Cool !!!
No Escape starred Owen Wilson. It was ok but interesting to see CNX in a movie. Your videos are great for anyone who is interested in Chiang Mair or are nostalgic for Chiang Mai. I was at Central Festival when the gold robbery had just occurred. I have never seen so many Thai police running in and out of the mall.
I watched parts of it .... I d say there were a lot of cops there pretty quick . He did not pick the best place thats for sure . Very sad someone lost there life over this
I will always support and look after my parents no matter what. They gave me private education, funding when I was a kid, backing when I was an adult and help when I needed it. There is nothing I wouldn't do for my parents. But, I'm in Australia, not Thailand. Elders need to be respected, however, given this rising number of Boomers now reaching retirement and critical care, I understand how life is getting harder and harder, especially with millennials and now Gen Z being called upon to pay more and more in taxes to support the 'aging population'. The problem is, the Boomers, and Gen X gave them everything they have today. Technology, advancements in society and life in general. The media wish to push the narrative that they are selfish and hoarders of wealth. So what? That is their RIGHT. Make your OWN way through life, build your own wealth and struggle for a while, understanding what life is all about. Gen Y & Z deserve NOTHING in advance, and NOTHING as a gift. NOTHING is OWED to you. Absolutely nothing,
You earn what you work for , thats how it works !
Bill, next time get the alligator burger!🤪
I have had alligator once sis not care for it ..
Adams Ribs from Chicago are the Best ribs, near Dearborn street station. Were featured in the Movie "Mash"

Taking care of your elders is not just Thailand. Its an Asian thing.
Thats a 2000+ year old practice.
very true
That was Teresa Teng who died there in 1992..her singing is still some of the best, have most of her music 🙏🏻
You may have told me about her a while back
@@UTCM Oh well 🤷♂️
am watching from San Pa Tong
Very close
It`s too bad the Thai government cannot set up some sort of assisted living facilities for the aging population. But of course it`s all about money and raising taxes to help pay for it would not be welcome by most of the population.
True , atleast they get free medical . But something needs to be put in place for them .
Wow! Where the ribs beef?
pork ribs
Truck smash has traffic guys with whistles !
yes
No heavy rain around there ?
We ve had little rain but north has a lot
that traffic incident at the start looked like it was handled with a minimum of fuss..traffic cops directing traffic, motorbikes just going around, no drama 😊
Yea they were just waiting on a truck to right it I think
Price is good , what ribs ? Pork / lamb / beef ?
Pork ribs
Teach your children the love, and the wisdom of God; if that does not not fit your fancy, then present moral philosophy; the reasoning that explains the necessity of ethics.
The Golden Rule, as elaborated by Jesus.
So true
looks like they might need to poor some bricks and rock in where the tree fell intoo the water , looks like the water will erode part of the road away if they dont
No telling , Im sure they ll do something
