A friend of mine has a nightmare marriage with a woman from Sri Lanka. Since years everybody keeps telling him to leave her but he seemed to be like in a cult. No abuse, even physical, seems to be enough to drop her. We all finally gave up on him.

Most of us going to the Philippines and Thailand to live and find relationships, are far too old to invest extensive time in a woman that’s playing games. We no longer have 2-3 year blocks of time to be wasting with a broken relationship. The very moment we detect betrayal, or even just a lack of sincere interest in us, we have to break up with them. Yes it’s going to hurt, but luckily, if we’ve already relocated to Thailand or the Philippines, we can go right back out and find her replacement. That is the ultimate benefit for living overseas when it comes to women and dating. The ease of being able to replace a girl that is not following my program is the chief reason why I want to move overseas.
Finding a good woman in these times in SE Asia is nigh on impossible.

It's not just Thai women but African woman and I guess maybe other places too. It's so easy to be manipulated when you're in love. I'd urge men to take things slowly. If someone loves you they won't be constantly wanting money. Always follow gut instinct. Be patient and wait for a good partner. A bad rel destroys you emotionally and your trust in people.
A woman using a man's love against him... how more ruthless can you get??

As an English teacher making 30-35k baht a month. Sounds like no Thai woman would marry me. lol. Imagine blowing most of your monthly salary just for some clothes.
Millions of people live on way less in Thailand every month, I'd say your chances are pretty good. Just avoid the typical danger zones 😊
I must have found a good Thai woman then as we have been talking for 4 months and she has spent more and sent me more gifts in post from thailand than I have for her. In fact if i send her a gift more than what she paid for mine she gets annoyed with me for the day. I really thought she was upset that i didnt send enough but to my confusion she was upset that i sent too much, But the difference between our gifts was like 20 dollars.

Always assume if there is a red flag early in a relationship assume there is a possibility of more to come. If anyone is serious about a long distance relationship. Hire an investigator just to make sure before marriage or serious commitment. A couple thousand will save you years of anguish and tens of hundreds of thousands.
