    You are a very good teacher. I appreciate you. A lot of the more popular stretching videos here are filmed by those who were already flexible OR by those who don't know how to teach those who are not yet flexible. Your reminder on a video that, 'We must bend so we do not break,' has helped me even in my daily life. Thank you.

      Actually these stretches can be very effective for flexible people and beginners alike as someone who was once very into yoga I stopped doing it at some point (possibly because I tend to overdo do things in an almost obsessive manner) although it was a healthy obsession it’s not much fun for people to be around. So a good few years have passed and I’ve had some health problems that have led me back towards yoga for some restorative exercises hopefully, I wish I had kept going with it as I’m very much at square one 😊

    Thank you for this video 🙏 I found it helpful to have these poses and their variations broken down on their own, rather than as part of a flow or routine. Another aspect that I didn't see anyone else mention was the countering extension and contraction. It significantly improved how my body feels after a session.

    Dear Priyanka Sharma,
    I wanted to thank you for the wonderful yoga tutorial focused on improving back flexibility. I really hope that these poses will help me, as my back is quite stiff, especially in the thoracic region. Because of this, I tend to overuse my lumbar area to compensate. Utthana Prishthasana seems like a fantastic pose for improving flexibility in the thoracic spine.

    Great work can we do back bend if we have Anterior Pelvic Tilt (No lower back pain)

    Hi, just came across your video. Nicely explained. I need help. I couldn't sit cross legged on floor. Have severe tightness in hamstring, quads and have severe pain in gluteal muscle. Tfl and side of Butts pain If I try cross my leg. It just stops halfway and starts paining. And If I try bending backwards I start to get back pain. Can you please suggest me what all.i should do?

    I'm a student and facing back pain from couple of weeks so I try 10-15 min back stretches, upto a week I feeled more relaxed but after a week my body's different part also started to pain along with my spine, that time I just stopped doing stretch further. Now again started after a long time and after watching your video I found that in that video most of the posture are either not for beginners or back arch pose, very few were to relaxed back like balasana.

    Thank you for this video! I'm going to make it a regular part of my practice. One question: how can I improve my wrist and forearm flexibility? For camel pose, when you advise we flip our palm downward and press them against the wall, I can't even lay them flat :( any tips?

    Hello, I like this video clip. When during an exercise you say, "for 5, (pause) 4, (pause)..." what do you mean? 5 seconds then 4 seconds? It seems to be longer than a second.😮

    I loved your teaching thnak you !
    Just wanted to ask, when I do camel pose Ustrasana againt the wall and i walk my hands down the wall, i feel pain in my lower back, what should i do ? Every backbend feels this way and i feel i cannot improve them because of this pain.
    Also about Marichyasana bending foward, i think you should remind students that the chickbone of the folded leg is slightly lifted and doesnt touch the ground, as I have met a lot of students who believe their bottom should touch the ground and so, can't achieve the posture.

      Hi, namaste yes during the camel pose against the wall lower back will hurt a bit due to compression in the spine .. we recommend to take childs pose immediate after the camel pose to relieve back pain.. also you can take hugging knees pose called pawanmuktasana which can give some back relief.
      For marichyasana I would say patience is the key and practice more hip opening asanas to attain the pose thank you 😊

    Oh no you lost me at the second pose with a leg up on a wall 😢 I need to be more flexible to even start a class... (I wonder if there is any beginners' friendly version of it to practice till we get better to try a normal version? Can't be only me struggling...)
