Fuckn mind blowing... i actually heard tom say that mikes GUITAR plays him he doesn't play it .. i heard theres uncut tapes of hours of solos of mikie doing his thing to every single heartbreaker song every wrote ...after every song he would just keep freestyle soloing every track ......people probably dnt know this but tom was envious of mikes GUITAR skills ...... MIKEY WAS THE PEANUTBUTTER TOO TOMMY'S JAM ! !😁

@@danarnold5192 Bullshit!!!! As a professional drummer for over 50 years I can tell you straight up ,The Heartbreakers lost their swing & swagger when Stan left. They were never the same. Steve is like a drum machine. No groove or soul. Just going through the motions. That doesn't make him a bad drummer, he's just never drove the band like Stan did. PERIOD.
How Extremely Cool Is THIS!! LOVE IT!! I've always been taken aback by how much Mike and Tom have the same vocal inflections in their singing and talking voice. It's TRUELY a wonderful Gift to have Mike still around and have the ability to play their old songs as faithful as their old Heartbreaker's performances!!! Peace and Love Mike Campbell!!

Tom Petty in most of his songs had Mike Campbell singing backup, so it is really nice to see him now going out and playing some of the older songs and singing them himself now. I however really still like some of his new music even better - his new song, Wicked Mind sounds a lot like his work with Tom Petty and the Traveling Willburys (who he never worked with but you can hear their influence on that new song). This new song was posted February 2022 on RUclips.
Mike Campbell never once sang backup on a TPATHB album. He sang lead on "I Don't Want To Fight". That's it
@@peterdent2019 when I saw them in concert he was definitely singing backup. Maybe not credited but he did it in concert for sure.
