My insurance company wasn't covered by cardiac therapy. When I get back to philadelphia, I'm going to have to find a location for it. It's going to be an essential part of my recovery
I signed up for it, but the $55 insurance co-pay for every visit ($400/month) forced me to do it on my own. Never made much sense to me why the insurance company would do that.
I am 13 days out of modified Bentall procedure with konect bovine tissue valve. Was in great shape when I went in with minimal damage and classified as Stage C: A Symptomatic. I am 60 years old and made the decision to surgery one year after the diagnosis of severe aorta valve stenosis. Took me that long to get my nerve up. I was working, I felt great, what the heck? Third opinion I said let's do it because I didn't want the recovery to be ridiculously long and/or my heart to be irreversibly damaged by my own hand because of my cowardness. The first week out of general anesthesia is NO JOKE and it does hurt. I've been home for three day and begin warfarin tomorrow evening for three months. Feeling very good
Would be better to contribute and help with listing WHAT the Cardiac exercises are. Some people can't Afford the rehab at a facility but still deserve the resources and knowledge to Live after a Heart Attack.
This is really good info def the confidence with Drs is a positive thing because it gives patients the viewpoint that they can recover with Professional advice from a Dr
I had a heart attack at 40 and I wasn't picked to do rehab I was told go home do cardio you'll be fine. A year later my chest hurts when I try push myself and I'm struggling in dealing with it
That is best thing about rehab, being at a hospital with a monitor on. I felt safe being monitored while running on a treadmill. My first was when I was 43 but if you have chest pain see a doctor. One of my stents plugged up in 2 years so don't screw around if you have chest pain. Chest pain and heart attacks are not the same thing but you need to go to the doctor.
This service is not available everywhere you live. There's is no guarantee. Therefore, you have to rely on yourself and search on the Internet for advice. Just go out and do a 20 minute walk everyday.
And because the doctors and rehab centers make a lot more money. Everything doctors do is motivated by money. They receive bonuses from their hospitals based on performance related to revenue growth.
I love cardiac rehab. I learn so much.
Should be required by insurance and not denied by corporations
Cardia rehab is so important if you’re recovering from a heart attack
Just had a widow maker...definitely going to do the rehab.

Have ACA cover it then. It shouldn’t be denied by insurance
