"its not clean,. its not safe... but its fast"
amen
😂
MTA’s slogan
If companies told the truth.....
Almost got it right. It's dirty, unsafe, and mostly slow. Constant "congestion", there's a train in front of us.
The 6 train has been the busiest tranist line anywhere outside of Asia for over a decade, and yet some people still think we don't need the second ave subway...
The 4 train is right up there with the 6 train. It would be a miracle to get a seat on the 4 if you ride from Fulton Street to Kingsbridge Road vice versa. Any time of day or night.
@@redsox1935 That's what happens when you have a single transit line severing the entire east side of the most densely populated borough in the most densely populated city in the country. Lexington Ave just isn't enough.
The 2nd Ave line came in clutchh! I remember when they first built it right by my school and it was so needed
People shouldn’t have to fear using subways or other city transit systems. This sends a positive message.
The MTA is a real hit or miss. Either the train can be the quickest it can be, or the slowest. It can be on time, early or even late. Sometimes you see everyone getting along on the subway and sometimes you don’t. And sometimes (well most of the time) you see dirty stations but other times some stations can amaze you like WTC Cortlandt on the (1) or 81 st MONH on the (B) (C). Sometime the train arrives when you are at the platform, sometimes it’s only a few minutes away, sometimes it’s like 20 minutes away. In conclusion, we can see how the subway could be perfect but has its huge fair share of flaws and with ridership going back, we need a system that is reliable, clean and safe.
Yeah I wrote a whole essay lmfao :).
Which subway line has the most turnstile jumpers?
idk but the station with the most fare hoppers is actually bway junction
The Lexington Ave line has more daily riders than entire metro rail in Washington DC. Not surprised the 6 train is the busiest line in 2023 considering the Lexington Ave line is the only line serving the east side of manhattan south of 72nd street.
What an epic numbers
I live close to Main Street.
6 is the best line.
Ugh……😢 the rush hour has returned.
I still ride the subways, no matter how dangerous they still are.
They are not dangerous. Not compared to 1990 when there were 17,000 felonies. Now Fox and NY Post rightly point out that felonies are up from a few years ago, but up to 2500 felonies are still nowhere near 17,000. Chill folks, chill!
How about the most popular with bums sleeping across bench shoeless?
Have compassion. That could be you one day.
And a fare hike is coming also.💅
Still not faster than motorcycle.. Bronx to queens takes 1.5 hrs while car takes 35 mins
Great now that they know that more ppl are taking transit why not clean the stations and make them safer we pay to get on the trains like the ppl on the lirr and they don’t have to worry about naked , sick, panhandling ppl on their trains but we suffer… wait till congestion pricing starts there’s going to be a hell of a lot more ppl in these trains .. more delays more congestion on the trains
That is not true. Because most people don’t pay on buses or trains.
I'm willing to wage good money that Flushing and Grand Central wouldn't be the busiest subway stations at all if all those cheating bastard turnstyle jumpers paid like the rest of society.
grand central no but flushing is quite debatable
Worse every day
I rode LIRR last June when I took a trip to NY. It was pretty fun taking a side trip to Smithtown. People are riding again because offices are calling employees back to in office work more and normalcy is here to stay.

idk why MTA cries about losing money & begging for more when. its a company making billions all year (s)
Because of past underfunding which it shows if you ride the subway. Also with rise of fare evaders this matter doesn’t help.
Because The MTA Needs billions of dollars to Fix it's broken Subway and Bus System from falling from disrepair and from fare evaders costing the MTA a lot of money that why they keep asking for more money and understand the scope of the problem
RIGHT HERE I BELIEVE THAT ALL LIVES MATTER 110% ALL THE WAYYY.
