As a UCL postgrad from an education standpoint: If youre planning on doing a PhD, I think UCL is a fantastic place since the academic staff are all research focused intellectuals, and the software tools offered are 2nd to none. But if youre just coming for a masters, I dont recommend it. Generally, for some reason a master in UK is seen as a stopgap in case you couldnt land a job during your bachelors, rather than a purposeful higher education. Also, with professors being research focused, they have very low connections with industry, (relative to other prominent unis in UK).

Hi I'm stuck between choosing King's, UCL or Manchester for my Computer Science undergraduate degree. I'm concerned about factors like cost of living and getting the education that is worth the money. May I have some advice?
i honestly think manchester is the best option since they have incredible facilities for informatics. its ranked higher than kings generally and student life in manchester is so so good, i kinda regret going to uni in london. ucl has pretty bad mental health support given that there are 40k students so if u need that then going to a more normal sized uni. however if u want to be super proactive about ur career then london may be better bc of internships/job opportunities regarding ur field of study. for a better 'uni experience' then manchester is better, for a kickstart in ur career then ucl. both degrees will be equally as respected by employers bc they're ranked neck in neck at times.

The medical and engineering faculties by themselves are top-tier, so I thought that it wouldn’t make sense for the biomedical eng course to be as bad as I was thinking. Also, one of the main problems with the course was that it wasn’t organized, so I kinda hoped that it would get better by next year since its not really a hard fix. Also,The opportunities and networking at ucl is pretty good. Good luck in whatever you choose and I hope this helped👍
Thank you for getting back! All the best for ur studies too😊

Hey, just wondering how you funded your masters?
Hey amina , Hope you are doing good. I am from pakistan and planning to apply to UCL and Kings london college for PhD. Could you please have a look over my C.V and PS to let me know just to give me a brief description of their's quality? It would be very kind of you!

Is it hard to get there? When you’re, for example, in normal, average school in Poland and I don’t have IB exam, just normal which is in Poland?

You would kindly give me more information on your experience on the course, as I would like to apply for this specific masters program 😊

Does finance for masters work the same as undergrad in the sense that it’s mostly debt or do you have to pay upfront?
What is the diversity rate like at UCL? I want to apply but afraid that the diversity rate is low. Is there a decent amount of black students ?( Im nigerian and would love to meet my people) ❤️
It’s very high in diversity one of the most diverse in England
Martha Adepoju VERY diverse, one of the best in London for sure.

I want to go to UCL but I didn’t do a language at GSCE or A-level would I still get accepted.
if you didnt do any of those you could do a GED and leave for the US canada etc for uni
When you say a language do you mean a modern language like French, Spanish etc. bc in that case, yes, you can still be accepted at UCL. If you mean English GCSE then idk but I’d call and ask just to make sure. I didn’t do any languages at GCSE or A Level and I still got accepted.

Got an offer to go study Natural Sciences at UCL; I am in love with the university, but have not yet decided if I should go there, as I'm getting the responses from my French applications next week. Does anyone have any experiences with the NatSci course at UCL?
I also got an offer for natural sciences! Did you end up firming it? I still haven't decided and the deadline is coming up soon... :((
I am currently doing natsci just finished first year. Its quite a jump from sixth form or high school. Mix of good and horrendous tutors. The course is very messy, unorganised and there are a lot of timetable clashes. Something to keep in mind

UCL bro it depends how much you are in computing. If you feel like you can stay the whole night in front of the computer than imperial is for you. If you are a more social person definetly UCL. I will start in sept at ucl

i just want to know if there is racism over muslims there ???
Roudha Alhajri not from what I have experienced. We could openly practice Islam - jumuah prayers on campus, large prayer room, many hijabis around, halal options - I personally had no issues.
@@DrAminaYonis
Weird question but...
So when i wear a hijab for some kind of reason i feel like people will feel, even if it's just a little bit, less inclined to be friends with me (I'm talking about non-muslims)
Did you experience that? Not racism i mean, just how they're 'different' with you than they'd be with other people
Hi, i have a question. Does anyone here knows if they select their students based on their age? I want to do my master degree at the UCL but i am 30+ years old and I don't know if they do accept older students. Because i had the experience that some Uni's don't. Thank you in advance. :)
Please just apply, age should not be a barrier to achieve your dream. My wife became a nurse when she was 45 years old in the US.
Did you apply?
Currently applying at 30 for data science/ social analytics masters and got offers from a few unis.
Age wasn't a barrier at all, I think it's all down to suitability and personal statement. Remember you can leverage your experience to improve your chances 🙂

Hello Amina you are beautifulll✨I am a graduate I want to apply for postgraduate study at UCL really badly💕but people always make me hesitant but I take advice only from an experienced person is that true UCL dormitory is not suitable for single muslim girls? If yes then where did you choose to stay?
If UCL is better than Imperial, why Imperial is more prestigious than UCL? pls let me know.
Which had the best bar ?🥳

I went for the open day and it was extremely unorganized, i just didn’t like the vibe and i found the tutors extremely cold and disengaged
