I truely believe Girlshool are one of the most underrated band in rock/metal history.

Hands down, one of the greatest female guitarists in metal history. Every time I see a gold painted Gibson Les Paul, Kelly is all I could think of and suddenly feel sad...

To people who dismiss these magnificent ladies as "a female motorhead " I say "that's a bad thing? Wake up! Lemmy and his crew aren't here any more, better a female motorhead than none at all!"
I'm glad I didn't know their past cuz I dont see that about them. I mean, they have the same punk vibe and raucous attack but i dont associate them with Motörhead at all.
IMHO they're a better version of Motorhead. Finally I can hear loud ass rock n roll without Lemmy's spranged testicle voice and hordes of "LeMmY iS GoD" fanatics
Been aware of Girlschool for about 15 or 16 years. Was made aware by Fenriz of Darkthrone who mentioned them in a blog interview around 2006 or so. Never made a connection between them and Motörhead.
They are better in some ways.

They were a great band live.Ok remember them playing in the early eighties at the airman's club at RAF Upper Heyford UKafter the show their van broke down and we put them up in our dorm until the could make arrangements to get it fixed and get them on their way to their next gig We chatted up the night over some beers and got them on their way the next morning.They were really down to earth girls and enjoyed chatting them up about music our families and what not.
I saw Girlschool in '82 with Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow. Great show!

I remember a Funny Great Concert with the Girlschoolies in the Cromian times in my hometown (Valladolid aka Pucela,Spain). The ending was so Great !!! Kelly Lives !!! Cheers and Life On !!!

I remember meeting Enid outside the Electric Ballroom in early 1980. We were in London for the weekend and it was good timing that Girlschool were playing, supported by Witchfynde. Excellent gig.

She’s a bit more glammed up than usual here. She always let her playing do the talking. And what a player she was. I was so sad when I heard she’d died.
This line up was by far the best. I met them after a gig in Liverpool, lovely ladies. As a young lad I always thought Enid was a bit ugly..... I got that wrong. Sorry Enid! ♥️

Around 16 years ago my band supported girlschoil whilst playing a local hometown gig it's a little hazy now with the grey matter playing a part but i think I recall a great night was had 🚨🚨

Absolutely masterpiece on same Motorhead level. Kelly is so unique.She is do very missed. Its a pity that Bronze Records was having finnacial difficulties forcing them changing a musical directions after Screaming Blue Murder album.

Can't help but think Motörschool would have been a better mash-up of the names.
