    Pretty sure that Jaghatai's moniker of 'War Hawk" is in reference to the way that the white scars fight. They like punishing speed and lightning strikes with pin-point focus which is similar to a Hawk hunting prey. Also, Jaghatai had a reputation for being incredibly observant. Choosing most times to observe most interactions with little input before displaying how insanely aware of the situation he was and then not only being right in his observations but also moving swiftly and relentlessly into action.... not unlike ...a hawk hunting.... I mean tjust look at the awesome burns he delivers to Fulgrim and Mortarian and you get a good idea of just how fast his strikes can be. Or, in another example, when he is gifted his Battleship and the Adept is explaining everything to him like he would to a 3 year old, and after letting the adept prattle on to the point of almost redundancy, Jaghatai basically rewrites the entirety of the ship's construction in the span of like 2 minutes also explaining the science and specs to be followed in the engine construction whilest watching smoke begin to spill out of said adept's aural orifices.

      No it doesn't, stop spreading BS. Cyclops literally means 'round-eye'. it doesn't even make sense in 40k as it does not refer to someone with one eye but only someone with one singular large round eye. It is far more specific that you are pretending. A cyclops is a specific mythical creature from Greek legend. it is not anyone with one eye. 40k was stupid to call Magnus a cyclops but you are even worse for adding even more definitions to the word. Just stop bullshitting online, it doesn't help anyone. You 100% invented everything you just said and anyone with Google can check that easy.

    4:14 His nickname is explained in Brotherhood of the Storm, the first story in Legacies of Betrayal. The reason why you did not find the reference is because White Scar marines don't call him Warhawk, but Berkut, which is the equivalent in Chogorian. From chapter 6 of that story: "‘I am told, by those who know, he is not like his brothers,’ said Yesugei. ‘He can be hard to read, even for us. On Chogoris we use hunting raptors. We call them berkut. His soul is one of theirs: far-ranging, restless. He may say things that seem strange. You may think he mocks you.’ [...] ‘Remember only this,’ he said. ‘A berkut never forget the shape of the hunt. In the end it always comes back to the hand that loosed it.’"
    8:31 No he wasn't. Mortarion also tried and failed to topple his homeworld's tyrant (his adoptive father) as a bet with the Emperor, failed, and watched helplessly as Big E sorted it out like it was no big deal.

    • @majorkill
      @majorkill  2 года назад +16

      Mortarion would have succeeded eventually, the emperor rushed him to mess with him. He had already taken out 99% of the worlds tyrants and united it under his leadership. Angron was doomed to die and was unable To get even close to taking his planet. The custodes discuss in lore about Angron being the only one who couldn’t overtake his world

    As for Magnus's nickname, you missed his "Deep, intricate nickname", there's the Logos Maxima, Logos in Greek meaning "Divine wisdom made manifest", associated with discourse, reason and logic.

      @richbob9155 2 года назад

      Don't copy and paste stuff off Wikipedia. You clearly have zero idea of what the word 'logos' means. Why pretend to know something you clearly don't? Its painfully obvious too btw. Logos refers to arguments or discourse based on facts and figures and not emotions (pathos). It is the root of the word 'logic'. I googled it and saw the exact words you wrote but you clearly don't understand them and are just copying word for word and you took it out of context in such a way that your comment doesn't even make sense. You have literally just taken part of the sentence explaining it and left out the actual explanation.

      @@richbob9155 But he's not wrong cause in the Orthodox Christian tradition logos simply means 'the word', God's word to be exact. The Dark Imperium lore really is letting Guilliman live up to the Avenging Son title. Not the coolest or most powerful or badass, but damnit Galactic Wars are won with logistics. A Primarch and Legion is a deadly force but a few hundred worlds run properly with incredibly high military production can put that to shame. Most the planets conquered in the Great Crusade were not from the Astarte Legions. Really surprised the lore did not have the Ultramarines at near 1 million Space Marines.
