I watch a RUclipsr who has memory problems and she leaves a green hair tie on the handle for the garden hose. When she turns it on she puts it on her wrist to remind her it’s on. Thanks for sharing your story ✌️
Ohhh that’s an excellent idea! Thank you!!
That is a very good idea!! Thank you
The "happy ending" is you're mostly ok and most importantly getting better by the day, week, month! I'm sure it's hard to deal with struggling with "normal" things. I'm glad you're getting better over time and thank you for sharing.
A literal goose chase! 🪿 Glad to see you up these days ✨🧡🧡
I'm so glad you are doing good now❤
Prayers for a speedy recovery! 🙏🏻
Oh Amber, TBIs are terrible to heal from, but know that it is possible! I had severe frontal lobe injury from a car accident and had alot of the same effects you describe. The doctors are right, you need to make your brain work to reroute the pathways in your neurons. Use your phone to set timers and alarms. Make lists and use your calendar. The less you need to try and remember the better! Almost 25 years later the only effects I still deal with are migraines and losing words occasionally. Be patient and forgiving with yourself,
Thank you for sharing with me! So many have commented with what they’ve been through, it gives me hope!
Joseph you're editing really really well thank you for helping her so much!
That is one crazy story. You have come a long way. Thank you for sharing. It reminds us all to take hitting our heads seriously.
I am so sorry for your accident. Ma daughter had a severe concussion in 2022 (a big Plexiglas falls on her head at her work) and beside the physiotherapy, I found out that it was the holy basil that I gave her that help her the most. It's for sure a long road to recovery, take care ❤️
Wow good advice! Tulsi is the best plant ever! I also use the essential oil all the time :)
The herb self heal is amazing for healing brain tissue!!!!
Love that you told us what happened. I have often wondered but would never ask.
Thanks for sharing. You are a lovely person. Sending thoughts and prayers for a full recovery.
Thank you Joseph for editing Amber's videos .
I'm sure you, Amber, will totally recover. Living surrounded by nature is less stressfull than living in a city. Nature has its slow and calm pace and doesn't never make you feel in a hurry. I hope my english doesn't challenge too much your brain 😊
Elena, Italy
I know this is a difficult story to share and thank you for sharing it with us ❤ despite all that I had to comment that your storytelling really allowed your personality to shine through and despite all the challenges you're going through, I still found myself laughing at your witty descriptions and way of telling the story at the beginning of the video. You're a light in this world 🌟
I am just so relieved that you are on the mend, however slowly. To have you back on You Tube is a great help to myself. You look after yourself and your wonderful family. loads of love and joy to you and your family.....xxxxx
Thank you so much!
Same. :)
Love the story (not so much the fact you got hurt), love your journey (i'm following you for years now) and love you. Please take all the time you need to recover. Peace❤
I gave myself a concussion with my partner too! I sat straight up in bed in the middle of the night and then fell back down in my sleep, but I fell down temple first into my partners forehead. I immediately woke up and felt sick to my stomach and the next day I felt like I had been hit by a truck. My whole body was sore and I almost felt like I was sick. My partner didn’t even wake up 😂 Our brains are crazy!
😂😂
thank you for sharing whats happened, I think we were all concerned. also its scary how easily it can happen and how it effects us.
I had a TBI that literally changed every aspect of my life. 8 years later I’m still healing. I’m completely in your corner and cheering you on as you heal too. You are not alone. Sending love.
Great to see you again, Amber, I missed you , Anne , your Irish Granny,
Thank you!! Good to be back, thank you for being here too!
Oh my goodness! Sending lots of strength and patience for your recovery, what a journey! So glad to see you back on you tube😊
What a story 😮 hope you Will be feeling 100% soon. My best Well wishes for you ❤
Hey! You didn't owe anyone this story, but you shared anyway! Thanks for the crazy tale and the always positive vibes. 🌈
That is the wildest story I’ve ever heard and not at all what I was expecting. Hope recovery is speedy now ❤
Wow that's a scary story... I've hit my head really hard a couple of times, and I know how intense it can be, but thankfully it's not left long term damage (that I know of!), but I would never have guessed that you could have this degree of damage from just a shoulder.I think the only way you can see it is that this is a soul challenge...you need to learn the lessons it's trying to teach you. I bet your daughter feels terrible having let the bloody geese out in the first place! Sending much love to all of you xxxx
Oh my goodness! I’m glad you’re getting better. One day at a time. 😊
I totally read oh my gooseness lol...
Sending healing vibes. 🩵
Oh Amber, I'm wishing you the best of health returning, you are such a strong and determined person I think you will get there. Think of the wonders of neuroplasticity and stroke recovery, you can heal and grow X
What a wild story! It's absurd and almost funny that I also got a (mild) concussion from connecting my head to my husband's body (elbow) while *getting out of the car*. Partners are a hazard we never knew we had.
Oh my gosh, you get it then! Going to have to tell my husband that others have experienced it as well 😆 hope you’re ok now!
Wow. It truly was a goose chase! Please take care of you. You are loved and needed❤
Thank you for sharing! Life can be wild sometimes.
It really is, really bizarre sometimes!
I once ended up in the emergency room with a nearly broken nose and 2 black eyes because I kissed a horse. Just as he decided to toss his head. It hurt like crazy, but I do have to say the doctors in the ER were highly entertained by my tragic tale. :) This must be so frustrating for you, to not be able to do and think with your usual precision as speed. Sending wishes for progressive and complete healing!
Oh wow that’s awful. Freak accidents are weird.
You are one though cookie arent you?
But thats life i guess and it makes you realise there can be only tiny moment that will change either all or quite a lot about your life.
I know what you mean by saying, story that is doesnt make sense. I got a few myself 🤭
I hope your physio will help you recover in a best possible way 🧡 In the meantime how about a little search to find little life hacks to remember those little things and maybe eventually your brain will recover?
And.... I guess i can speak not only for myself. We love hearing from you even not exciting /everyday /boring news because we love how authentic and magical you are Amber. Not just you, all your family is great. I hope you will be back to your normal routine as soon as possible but if not maybe this experience will bring you another great opportunity?
Hugs from Poland for the whole family 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
7 years into my TBI. Mine caused a meningioma brain tumour. It is not cancerous, but it effects all of my senses. I cannot smell or taste, regular temperature or pain, it affects my vision and I’m very sensitive to lights & sounds. It has permanently changed the course of my life.
My heart goes out to all the healing brains! 🧠 ❤️🩹
Im so sorry to hear about your concussion. I can relate whole heartedly right now as I too am still going through a concussion after a work related injury. It's such a journey to get back to your pre-injury self. My biggest hurdle right now is sensory (light and sound) and its been a challenge to do "ordinary" things. I hope you can also take some time to rest ❤
Oh no! Hope you heal quickly!
My mum and I were once trapped on top of a park table bc we ran out of food to give these geese and they started attacking us🥲
You're doing so great, Amber! We as a community are so proud of the improvements you continue to make! ❤
Man, that's crazy! Prayers for your recovery. I have so much respect for you and your family. Don't ever worry about replying to comments or pushing out content because I will always watch anything you post regardless! And I know I'm not the only one.
Thank you for sharing your story, no matter how ridiculous it may seem!
So much love to you and your family!!
💚 One love
I’m so sorry you are still suffering with a TBI. What a crazy story! The goose should be on punishment😂
Oh my goodness, Amber. Sending you so much love and healing vibes. One of my college roommates had a concussion a couple years ago from banging her head on a cabinet while on vacation. Following her journey on Facebook was mind-blowing to me. I had no idea that a concussion could have such an impact! I hope you feel back to normal soon ❤
Bless your heart! I am praying for your full recovery❤❤❤
Wow. Your dedication to catching that goose. 😮 If that had been me I would have been like “That goose belongs to the cows now.” 😂 I’m glad you are improving!
I went thru vestibular and ocular theraoy for 2 yrs after a car accident (me vs a semi). I've had chonic issues since for 22 yrs. I am sending all the ❤ to you.
Bless you! I'm grateful you're ok.
💖🙏🏻💖
Sending healing energy your way! So sorry that happened, but glad you are on the mend. ❤️🩹 give yourself grace.
Prayers for speedy recovery
Thank you for sharing Amber! I would have never guessed an actual wild goose chase caused your concussion! Sending continued love and get well energy 🙏🏼❤️ I’m glad you ended up with 2 nice geese, and that you enjoy them for many years to come 🪿 You are such a naturally delightful person Amber ❤ ✌🏽
Aww!!! I hope you’re getting better by the day. Sending you healing energy ❤ ✨
Sending love and blessings to u Amber ❤ u r amazing beyond words.
I’m so sorry that you are having all these issues and I’m wishing you all the best and I hope you experience progress and recovery every day. 💕💕
You’ve got this, Amber! Get better soon! We’re all glad you’re back online and getting back to your old self!
What a wild experience!
That's quite a story! You're doing so well, all the best 💓
This reminds me of my take on a Louise Hay affirmation, that she said every day... (I certainly need to keep doing this)... This is hers, but I adjusted it for me... I am in Perfect Health, Happy, Joyous, Prosperous, Lean and Free, and these divine rights, I claim for me... Perhaps you could fashion your own? It certainly feels good to do this. I wish Perfect Health for you and your family.. 💚
Oh my gosh of all the things that could of gave you a concussion! i thought maybe it happen while renovating your home or barn, something in the garden, i know your loyal watchers do worry about you so thank you for sharing your story, bless Joe blaming the rogue goose, that is something my husband would have done, he loves you very much.
sending you healing vibes. x
I am glad you are doing better, one little thing at a time. I hope you will get fully well soon. Don't pressure yourself, do what you can when you can girl!❤
Hi Amber, I wish you a good recovery 🤞 So glad for you that you are able to take care of your garden and post again.
So happy ypu are back, continued recovery , I missed your videos, regards, fiona Ireland ❤
I feel your pain with the dizziness. I get bouts of vertigo, where I can't look up, or do tasks above shoulder height. It's maddening. I hope your symptoms fade over time🤞💐✌️
What a freak accident Amber...WOW! It might seem like a long process, but you are healing, and that is the main thing. 🤗
It was so weird… would never have thought that hitting a shoulder could do this! And thank you.
@@FairlyRooted 💝💝💝
Oh Amber, that's so scary. So so sorry you and your family are going through this.
Your story is hard to hear as it brought me back to my accident that caused my concussion I had in August, 2013. It was my first (and last😜) time on a horse. It’s really difficult to explain to someone who hasn’t experienced it. It took me just over 10 years to get back to myself. You can get through this! It is scary and frustrating and infuriating. With good therapy and lots of pacing, you will get back to yourself🥰🥰🥰
Thank you for your vulnerability. I always appreciate anything you share. Continuing to send good vibes and support!
Aw, Amber 😢 that's so unfortunate. I hope you keep steadily getting better and better ❤
You are so strong! What a crazy story.. Really hope you will get better and better soon, I certainly believe it 💚
Best wishes for your rapid healing Amber. I have a ridiculous concussion story too, I trod on a rake, full Three Stooges style, and it flew back and hit me in the forehead. Mine was only mild and it was unpleasant enough, I can't even imagine how awful it must be for you. Take care my dear.
I’m so sorry to are going through this. I love your videos and hope you get better soon I can keep watching your wonderful life.
You will be blessed 🙌🙏
Amber, I was in a four wheeler wreck many years ago and hit my head on a rock which caused a concussion. I still have problems with retaining new information, have no memory of the wreck itself and a decent amount of time before and after, etc. It does get better but it's so frustrating. It feels like it never ends but you are doing so well.
You do have a happy ending! You’re here back on ytube, healing, and your family still have you!!im so happy you are back! I have had vertigo for over twenty years and being dizzy is the wosrt. Over the years it has gotten better and less often so hopefully yours will go away or at least get better!
Sending lots of healing vibes! I imagine that goose isnt your favorite bird - but very well named video 😂
I had a stroke almost 4 years ago. Alot of the things you are saying are simlar. It keeps geting better. We had a goose many years ago keep them happy with you. Are they will hang onto you and hit you with there wings.
Thank you for continuing to make contact whilst going through this, sending lots of healing & strength x I’ve got FND and that makes the signals from my brain to my body not compatible- the brain is amazing and scary when it goes a bit crap x
Thank you for sharing your story! As someone who also seems to injure herself in ridiculous ways, I can relate to wanting that to stop. Just remember that your brain (and body as a whole) want to heal -- it just takes time ❤
Hi Joseph!!!
Let your husband know I’ll be mad at the goose, too.
Thanks for sharing your story. I was immensely curious about how you got a concussion. I'm so sorry to hear you're dealing with the repercussions of your concussion and TBI still. 😥 But I appreciate you being honest and real about it. ❤️
Im so sorry you are dealing with this Amber. I experience similar things after my lsst two large seizures. Im still dealing with memory math etc and its so frustrating as a young "healthy" looking person. I hope youvmake a full recovery ❤️ great work to Joseph on editing thess videos!!!
Oh Amber - I don't want you to have any more "interesting stories" of accidents either ... if I might be so bold as to send you my wishes for 'protection' from these things - this is from the quasi 'crone', (I used to be interested in magic stuff....) Many wishes for your best recovery. Katherine, south of Boston. PS You're the only vlogger I write comments to consistently....happy to check in if it helps!
❤️❤️❤️❤️ take each day one at a time
So sorry you are still troubled by it! What an adventurous goose 😮 as a person who also has a talent for silly accidents - its so annoying! I hope you will fully heal!
wow Amber… I’m so sorry for you 🥺 I almost cry when you said it’s hard for you to count, do maths… I’m truly really sorry this happened, it was an accident, not your fault or your anyone’s fault… if we have to blame anyone let’s blane the goose that can’t hear us 😉
Duck, duck goose! Joseph! 🦆🦆🪿✌️
Sending you good vibes. I don't think that wanting geese was a bad thing 🥰
I'm so sorry this happened. I hope your eldest daughter doesn't feel too much remorse for opening the door :(
❤
I hope you have a full recovery. Geese always get a bad reputation. My mom grew up on a bit of land with 2 geese. She said that they could be scary at times.
That is one interesting story! Wow. So sorry that happened to you. It was a freak accident I would call it. I hope you can overcome it and get back to normal soon. Sending you good vibes from New Jersey US. I remember my Grandmother having geese like those and one time them chasing me when I was a little girl. I was so scared because I knew they could bite me and I was terrified of them. They must have been the same geese you have - large, white geese. Ok, well, thanks for letting everyone know what happened to you and hopefully you are on the mend. Take care.
❤❤
Oh my gosh, that is WILD!!!! 😳
It really is… just so weird. Wish I didn’t have that story to tell! Could have done without it!
Wow! So sorry. Hopefully in time u will be back to normal. Don”t write any checks or pay the bills right now. My mother had a TBI and a year later she wanted to do her bills again and wrote a check for $2,500,000 when it should of been $2,500. Good thing I caught it before it was sent. I told her “I wish u had $2,500,000”. Lol and she confused the remote and the cordless phone all the time. She would call me and say I had to drive over there because her show was coming on and the remote would not work. I get there and she’s trying to use the phone to change the channels🤦🏼♀️ That was fun! But I knew a lot of patience was needed. 💕 take care Amber🌻
I have been sooooooo curious about what happened but have been too afraid to ask! Glad you made a video about it! What a freak accident! How scary! Glad you are getting better!! Do the doctors think that you will completely recover over time, or are they not sure?
I am 5 years out from my head injury of my frontal lobe. I still have major symptoms after going through all kinds of therapy. The answer I have finally gotten was that these symptoms will not improve. I am going to be 65 this year and had to retire 5 years ago because of it all. A lot of anxiety and depression as well. I am so sorry to hear your story. I hope that you are able to get some answers.
Oh, Amber, I so sorry, but I am sure you will be fine, no longer happens. I like astrology, I am Aries, and you too, so … I learned that ( makes sense for me) who is from Aries , at the time, in life, have a chance to have injury in the head. I head one. I dropped from 3 meters high and break the bones of my face. It was hard, but now I am completely fine.
You will too.
I love your content in your channel.
Be safe,you are strong enough.
Love and peace ✌🏼
From 🇧🇷Maria illy, Rio de Janeiro, Brasil🌻
This sounds so frustrating. Sending you peace and healing and a break from the "good stories" ❤
Ma'am please tell me You made nice dinner out of that goose 😅I am joking of course but joking aside-wishing You speedy recovery! All the best❤
Girl, if how you get hurt made any sense, I think you'd have the sense to not get hurt in the first place. At least that's what I tell myself. This coming from someone that has chronic tick infections, MS and ITP. It's always absolutely bizarre or cliche or just fantastical. I think physical healing seems simpler to me. There's something extra terrifying when you forget words or how to add or really those basic things leaving you thinking that I swear I wasn't always dumb, but here we are. I am happy to hear you're on the mend and moving forward! Thank you for sharing.
Also…fasting helps the brain to heal faster as we create brain stem cells after about 72 hours xx
I empathize one of the worst concussions I ever had years ago was from our family cat Bella (an 18lb Himalayan) jumping from the top of the hutch onto the back of my head which caused me to smack the front of my head against the cabinet doors. It actually knocked me out momentarily and my mom arrived home from work about 5min later and found me sprawled out on the floor holding my head with Bella laying on me😂 she got me to the ER and yep concussion the DR must have been concerned though because they privately asked me if I was sure I was safe at home (insinuating DV) and I assured them no it was just my fat cat being his crazy self😂😂😂 Concussions are scary I've had a few from and underlying health condition that makes me pass out and my partner wrestled his whole life and coached wrestling so he's had several also but thankfully he knows what to do if our teenage daughters get a concussion. Wishing you continued healing and sending all the good energy❤❤❤ (I have vertigo/depth perception issues and it can be so incredibly frustrating)
❤🎉😊
Brain Injury by Wild Goose Chase is definitely your style Amber! 😂I'm glad to see you in good spirits as always. If you are reading any books or plan on it maybe you would like the book "The Hidden Life Of Trees" By author Peter Wohllenben. I'm sure you've heard of it but if you haven't read it, it's a fascinating read.
I know a little about how devastating a concussion and brain injury can be, I experienced multiple injuries as a child due to a violent family member and it impacted my education and ability to socialize a lot. I wish you so much strength and love getting through this ❤
