7:57 - Yeah, fairly sure that should be MK.IV.
9:24 - I don't know if this was still the case by the time of Market Garden, but I'm fairly sure that earlier in the War, the British Army ran both 'Armoured Divisions' and 'Independent Armoured Brigades'. The Armoured Divisions are what they sound like: Combined Arms formations with their organic attachmens etc.; by contrast, the IABs were Tank-Only formations that would be attached to other Divisions as thought necessary.
Now, I could just be hallucinating this knowledge. But if I'm not, it would explain how an Infantry Division ends up with so many Fireflys.
10:40 - Yeah, I feel like the Britsh/CW Divisions generally suffer from the fact that their 'Way of War' doesn't really translate to SDII very well. As I understand it, British/CW Infantry were there to hold ground and then advance after the Artillery had done all the work. And also, Rifle Grenades aren't a thing in SDII, and I believe the British made plentiful use of those.
It doesn't help that you call in squads in SDII, rather than, say, Platoons. I'm fairly sure that the 2" Mortar was at the Platoon level, so, basically, imagine if every three/four squads of Tommies came with some 2" Mortars that you didn't have to fire yourself.

      Yes that's completely accurate.
In 1944/45 too there were IABs attached to Infantry divisions for major operations to create ad hoc combines arms task forces. These were equipped with either Shermans or Churchills (and some Stuarts).
I also agree on the British/CW infantry doctrine not being able to properly shine in this game. With them being based more around rifle marksmanship and the support mortars.
Interestingly, the devs talked about how they thought about adding 2in Mortars to actual infantry sections but thought that would be too much and also too confusing to control because of the different ranges and firing modes of the sections' weapons.

I believe I've read Kangaroo's were appointed where needed most the same way. On the fly for operations.

Gep. Pzgrens are the 8 man mechanized ones, not the 11 man motorized. But they will probably be 25pt since they lose the g43, and the g43 ones are already not very good for 30

I guess the Polish paras will get the Commando trait (instead of just raider) plus maybe even Tank Rider on top of that (?). To represent their proficiency and years of training in "everything".

Great. More Fireflys... This sucks. They are already plenty in other CW tank divs. No need for more.

Unfortunately, the Allies did this 'Standardisation' thing. So there's lots of Shermans, because that's what was produced and available. Unlike the Axis, who were increasingly the vultures of Europe, having to strap themselves up like Mad Max Warboys.

playing offline is the gateway to playing online and this game sucks big time. Played 'desperate measures' as germans on hard and had my fresh undamaged observer panther killed by a strelki DP with 7 shots from the DP hitting only the front armour at approx. 350-400m range. The strelki DP was in visual range (in a trench) and was being fired on by the Panther but the strelki sufferred virtually no damage - approx. 10% at most. Nerfing the players units so badly is truely bad. I did find out though that the clock changes dependant on how hard the level is - on hardest the AI can call in additional units every 45secs approx. On last Hope as German I continually have full health MK IVs & stugs one shot killed by 122mm arty - HE only (I have the tanks in short grass at the allied spawn point)
