Funny - I always interpreted Jeff listing the ingredients to the sandwich as a way to annoy Larry for amusement , not that he was clueless/ didn’t know that he was ruining the plan for the trade haha
I have stayed away fom this since season two because of this and so happy to find that Jeff is so nice in this one. I'll try the next episode now. I love Susie. Jeff too
I just LOVE Jeff's interjections when Larry's describing the sandwich to Ted... When Larry snaps it's like Laurel and Hardy It's one of my favourite Curb moments
@@dbadagnasearch for, curb your enthusiasm season 6 bloopers. It's a mix of seasons, I don't know why they titled it that way. It's about 5.5 minutes.
Larry and Richard's back and forth in Temple is so funny one of my favorite small moments in the series. There's also a funny blooper there when Richard drops his yarmulke.
Top 10 episode for sure. The sandwich, the tickets, the yips, Larrys comment on the hat. The acting “The best whitefish in the whole wide world!” lol. Grabbing the mints. Everything about this episode is so great - the story/ plot - the individual scenes , the whole thing. 10/10
When he grabbed the mints, it reminded me of the Seinfeld episode when George grabbed a handful of mints from the diner because he didn’t have time to buy candy before going to the movies.
i love how Jeff says you should watch the episode before the podcast, like I haven't rewatched the show about 25 times LOL I absolutely adore Larry David as I am also an elderly Jewish man from Brooklyn.
Keep this coming! Im not quite caught up with all the previous episodes, but i love watching/listening to this after a curb episode. Thank you to everyone involved.
welcome back jeff and susie loved season 5 episode 1 of the podcast i'll look forward to more stories and guest interviews love from culver city california socal la area ❤️
Larry trying to convince Ted that he has a decent sandwich, while Jeff is unwittingly screwing up his pitch, is one of the best scenes of the series for me. Maybe THE best.
One thing that Jeff and Susie did not pick up on in the scene with Larry answering the phone during sex is that it also demonstrated Cheryl's growing frustration with Larry that will culminate in their splitting up in Season 6.
Back when Izzys was open in Santa Monica, I went in and asked the manager if they have a Larry David sandwich . he said no, in a very angry scowling, mean, kind of way. Too bad that place when out of business
2005 or thereabouts. 19 years before Richie Boy passed on. EDIT: sorry, but if you meant the podcast, it was probably a few months before Richie Boy, passed. I believe this episode would have been recorded late 2023?
Grew up modern orthodox Jewish, and have never once heard of "burying dishes" outside of Curb. Very strongly suspect it's not really a thing. (Similar to the Hasidic "sex-through-a-sheet" myth---though, of course, I've heard that one.) just sayin! Separately, if they'd lose the sable (overkill) & add tomatoes, the LD would be a killer sandwich. : - )
Of course you're spot on. No such thing. But it's not the first time Jeff/Larry have revealed their total lack of knowledge of most things Jewish (not including those "culturally Jewish" things..
Do they always tape these right after lunch? Jeff always has food at the corners of his mouth or in this case what looks like juice stains around his lips. (PS: not judging, I am small eater and so I snack all the time).
The mint bit is a callback to Elaine with the jujubees in seinfeld. She stops for them before visiting a friend in the hospital. Same bit.

ONE TASTES GOOD AND ONE SUCKS
Yea I think Susie misread that one
It’s hilarious
I love Jeff, even with his by the ways lol. He seems like such an innocent soul in a way.
I had the opposite impression. Not the least bit innocent.
@Jerry-Falwells-Poolboy Harvey Weinstein?
every time Jeff doesn't say "by the way" is a small victory

"Capers."
The bloopers from the this episode between Larry and Richard at the synagogue are gold!
Where did you see those?

That blooper is hysterical 😂

Larry being disgusted by Susie as his wife is drop dead funny!!!! ….no offense Susie😂😂😂😂

Personal fave line of the episode:
"Well, you've got your Al Capone hat on..."
Hey Jeff, BTW, I loved the 🎶Goody Two Shoes🎶 AdamAnt reference you just nonchalantly slid in there! 😂 😎

Finally you guys are back! Larry David Sandwich is one of my favorites for sure. Can’t wait to listen to this.
Larry trying to convince Ted that he has a decent sandwich, while Jeff is unwittingly screwing up his pitch, is one of the best scenes of the series for me. Maybe THE best.
In my top 5 scenes of all time. I always piss my pants when I watch it.
One of my favorite episodes! Such a funny story.
Richard doing Larry dirty again!
So glad you two are back!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼More hilarious special guests if you can manage it👍🏼👍🏼🤣🤣🤣
They are too adorable ❤ together.

Yes, that's the drill: episode of CYE + the podcast:) It's a two pack joy:)
Totally agree
Season 5 is one I’ve never revisited (it was always my least favourite season), but since you two are talking about it, I’m going to go watch!
You guys wait for the BY THE WAY, but i always wait for some MARLA story.
The entire reason I drive myself, leave when I want, don't have to rely on anyone. You don't wanna leave when I'm ready, sorry.
Back when Izzys was open in Santa Monica, I went in and asked the manager if they have a Larry David sandwich . he said no, in a very angry scowling, mean, kind of way. Too bad that place when out of business
1:32 - not even two minutes into the episode folks! LMAOOOOOO I’m gonna get so drunk playing the BTW drinking game I invented 😭
"They're like siamese twins, white fish and sable"
The auto-focus is set to focus on faces, so when she looks down, it focuses on Larry David.
When did they tape this? Because they weren't far away from a Richard Lewis funeral :(

@Jerry-Falwells-Poolboy I think the question was regarding recording the podcast.
@@GregBeaulieu-c3t Of course it was. Thanks for the much needed correction!
Rosh Hashanah in 2023, which began that year on September 15.
At last!

BTW count 1.34
Including Susie’s BTW?

0:37 - No tongue!
By the way, it’s “myriad reasons” not “a myriad of reasons.”
I worked for a company called Myriad Products and we had a myriad of products
Myriad is both a noun and an adjective, so either is correct.
Example: "bmerck's mum had a myriad boyfriends"
The Wire was a great show!
And everybody says that season 2 is the most important!!
if you read comments: why this episode feels different, maybe down a little on both sides more jeff
Macki Sasser and bob ivie couldn't throw the ball back to the pitcher
I would say "Keep up the good work", but is it work? Much enjoyed!
You mean a land line?
Alright British Telecom calm down
Yarmulke is proper spelling, but everyone ought to be familiar with the conventional pronunciation.
It’s Yiddish, correct? The Hebrew word Kippah is used in Israel.
@@icu22day Yes, it apparently comes from a Polish word.
KVELLING!!! 😂
So sick of people complaining about Jeff.
Same. Pretty easy to just not watch
Ehm… what do comedians say during a funeral?
Jeff can't resist commenting on a woman's looks. Even after being fired from the Goldbergs for the same reason!
He's been pretty, pretty silent on your mums looks though. Really makes you think.
@BarryRerack147 well, i placed her ashes in the vault with dad's back in 2020.
Is Jeff sad?
Please turn your mic down Jeff. Thanks.
