I like how this video magically showed up on my video feed after the weekend I just installed mine. I didnt know this video existed but i didnt even think about searching for it either🙄 I made a lot of mistakes of taking out things that I shouldn't have. 😪
We’ve been working on it over the last 3-4 months and it was finally ready! It was much more of an undertaking than we initially thought, but it should all be downhill from here 😎
@@GodzillaRaceworks I mean I've been working on mine for a long time, but it took me a couple days to get stuff taken out and put this in. But I accidentally snipped out my fusible links and all the wires that are on the passenger side next to the battery 🤦♂️ for some reason I was under the impression megasquirt was replacing ALL the wires in the engine bay. And I took all those out before reading any directions or looking at videos. Sooo..yeah this Saturday is going to consist of many hours of trying to rewire all those wires back in...hate my life.
@@GodzillaRaceworks that's what I said too lol I hate working on wiring cause I never had experience with it in cars. So now this is a forceful opportunity for me to learn. It just seems so overwhelming just looking at it.
@Godzillaraceworks. I have the megasquirt harness all setup now, but im questioning the temp gauge plug mentioned at 1:40 min in. I have a 1982 280zx turbo. What wire or plug is this supposed to match up to? I have spent hours looking at wir8ng diagrams and cannot figure out where this is supposed to go
@1:34 shows it in the diagram, remove the little black cover that is behind the battery, this will expose the EFI relay, and this 6-pin connector for the coolant temp gauge wiring @@jamiewalker9058
We're hoping within the next few weeks, ideally we only have to make the video once haha, so it takes a little bit to proof everything and make sure we didn't leave anything out.
If I were to buy the multi-coil ignition package and plan on running it on an NA L28 that I plan on turboing in the future would I want to add the electronic boost control so I have it for the future or would that interfere with the operation on an NA engine.
You can add boost control at the time of order and just let it lay dormant under the hood until you're ready to use it. It won't affect the N/A side of the tuning process or operation.
I am having this exact same issue, did you end up finding a fix for it? I checked all the fuses and relays, next is the pump itself. I’m hoping they come out with the next video soon…
So for the AEM gauge it has the positive White output wire and a negative Brown output wire. Which one do I use to plug into the wideband wire on the harness? And what do I do with the other one?
@GodzillaRaceworks - is it a requirement to make sure timing is set to TDC before setting up the ecu with the information provided in the instructions for the base tune? According 280zx manual, timing is supposed to be somewhere around 20° BTDC +/- 3°. or does this not matter because it will be controlled by the ecu and i can just change it through the tunerstudio?
A great and informative video. Looking forward to part 2.
Amazing 👏 I've wanted a video like this for a long time. THANKS A TON!

@@jamiewalker9058 Hey unfortunately that's how you learn new skills. Silver lining is you'll hone your wiring skills

Are you talking about the blue bullet connector? Or the 6-pin rectangular connector?
The rectangular connector at 2:07. Its the plug that runs towards the fusible link box
But it looks like it only has one pin inside the connector

Ahh ok, I am missing the efi relay then. 😪
@godzillaraceworks - if im using a manual boost controller will I need to have that connected to the ecu somehow?
Nope, it'll operate separately
Love this, but I'd only do it if I lived where you guys are. Have your people install
Hey we work with several transport companies, we get several a year from all around the country :)
Coming across a turbo ZX distributor is kind of like a bigfoot sighting. Are there any other options for a distributor with this kit?
Yes, skip ahead to the 24-1 Nippon Denso crank angle sensor in the description
Awesome video, is there an estimated date for part 2?

@godzilla raceworks. Got everything hooked in just as directions say but my fuel pump is not priming on when key is turned, any suggestions?

@@chriss2837 well it ended up just being some ground wires that weren't properly grounded.

Got an '82, how much would it be if you guys do it for me?

Yes, otherwise all of your adjustments, etc. will be off
@@GodzillaRaceworks ok so set it to exactly tdc? Or should I set it to the btdc degree?
